I stayed at Nova Apartments with 3 of my friends from the 21st February- 24th February for a long weekend. The apartments are on the central Metro line, and very simple to get to. When we arrived at reception, we were greeted by the 2 lovely girls at the desk, who gave us a free apartment upgrade; as they said...

We stayed here in November and had a great stay. There was three of us staying in the apartment and it was more than enough room for us. The location is great, amidst the restaurants in the Jewish Quarter. Definitely worth giving some of the restaurants nearby a go. It is a bit of a walk to some of the...

Although this place says that this is a kind of aparthotel, I would rather call it a hostel. First of all cleanliness is an issue: the bedsheets and the bathroom in our room have certainly not cleaned for a while. The corridor in the building and the floor in our room were dirty and sticking. The neighbourhood was also not...

The main office for these apartments is within a 15-20 minute walk of the main train station in Budapest. The accessibility doesn't end here, there is a bank and central area with fast food and restaurants a mere 10 minute walk from the location, in practically every direction. The tour buses pick up spots are dotted in a number of...

We stayed at Nova in the beginning of Jan 2015. Initially I booked Locust Tree Apartments where I stayed three or four times before. I've got the great fare - only 25Eu/night/2 persons. But when I checked in, I was redirected to Nova. Pros: - The location of the aparthotel is great, no more than 8 min walk from Blaha...

The apartment was clean on arrival and was cleaned once during our stay. The beds are comfy, and the bathroom was great. Also has a TV and DVD player - you can borrow DVDs from reception. Thought location was ideal - furthest walk was to the Szencheyi baths which was about 40 minutes but up the beautiful Andrassy avenue. About...

Stayed here in October 2014.. Location was fab, right near all of the ruin bars and within good location to trams and tour bus stops as well as other attractions. Staff were so friendly and helpful, gave us many directions, let us check in early due to long travelling times and booked our taxi for airport. Apartment was fab, absolutely...

It All Depends on What You are Looking For. . . Nova Apartments more than met our needs. We were in Budapest for three weeks with our teenage son, so a hotel would have been too claustrophobic. The apartment was clean, and even with our street facing unit, it was relatively quiet. Our apartment 2/5 was spacious and while sparse...

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
