Perfect location for a visit to Budapest - easy walking distance to locations in the Castle area and many excellent local restaurants. Bus from the stop opposite the residence takes you down into the city and the bus runs every 5-6 minutes during most of the day.

We have visited several Hapimag resorts in the past and this one is outstanding. Location within the old town cannot be better. Nicely refurnished historical building fits into the surrounding. Well enjoyed vacation.

Hapimag Budapest is lovely. Non-smoking, comfortable, well maintained and very quiet: a perfect place for a relaxing city stay. The residence opened its doors in 2000 and offers 30 apartments in a completely renovated monumental building. Centrally located in Buda, it has at walking distance the Mathias cathedral, Fisherman’s Bastion, National Museum and a choice of restaurants & coffee houses....

This apartment could not be in a better location. It's near the Castle, National Museum and Fisherman's Bastion, yet handy for the metro and other transport links. It's also in an old building in a quiet, safe neighbourhood. The apartments are all different but mine was lovely. No real view but quiet and easy to get into. The wifi is...

Staying in District I / Buda

Neighbourhood Profile
District I / Buda
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.
