First trip to Budapest with a group of friends and was pleasantly surprised with Pal's Hostel! The location was perfect (looked out to St. Stephen's Basilica) and the staff were extremely friendly and always willing to help. When we arrived at Budapest we were met by a member of staff at the airport and taken to the hostel where another...

I booked a 3-person apartment, the room was very proper and large enough. The hostel is really close to St. Stephan Basilica located, which is great. The staff was really helpful and nice! I would definitely recommend a stay at Pal's hostel!

This was my first trip within Europe and Pal's made it so wonderful. We stayed in a 6-person apartment and found everything to be perfect. The rooms are beautiful and the views of St. Stephen's Basilica cannot be beat. You really do get so much for such a bargain, especially when split between the group you're traveling with. I found...

RE double room right by Deak Ferenc & Vaci Utca. Fab location-walking distance to main shopping area & great bars & restaurants. The flat itself was amazing with an INCREDIBLE bath! I have never seen a bigger bath or nicer bathroom! Great little kitchen & table to eat at. I would definitely return here & would urge others too as...

I stayed at Pal's Hostel from January 14-16 with another two friends. We had been travelling around Europe for a couple weeks and we were tired and cold when we arrived at 10:30 AM to Pest, so it was a really nice surprise when they gave us the room earlier than what we expected. The apartment was simply perfect; clean,...

Spacious apartments. Well managed and helpful staff throughout a lot of planning for a group visit in July. A few metres from St Stephen's Basilica and city centre. Walking distance to the river Danube. Metro stops within easy walking. The entrance is unattractive but once inside apartments they are adequate for a youth group and well equipped.

Our room was large and ideal for communication with a large group of friends. The design of the rooms was typical of a hostel. The location of the hostel was strategic as it was just next to St. Stephen's Basilika. Towels were provided along with free tea in the common area. The staff were also helpful in guiding us through...

The hostel, with apartments around the square where its headquarters is located is perfectly situated in the heart of the old city of Pest. It lies next to St. Stefan's Basilika. On arrival with a booked taxi from the airport, a young receptionist welcomed us. He explained us most of everything from the hostel to the best places to eat...

Stayed in a private double room, was located in an apartment with three other rooms with shared kitchen, bathrooms and living area. All very spacious and clean. Staff very friendly and helpful both before the stay and during, doing anything they could to help improve your stay. Brilliantly located right next to St Stephen's Basilica, ideal during December for the...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
