Arrived in Hungary with 10 stitches in my head & a plan for our three days. Andras revised our plan with his "Orientation" & we veteran travelers had am amazing visit. Our room 5 star, totally quiet, personally prepared breakfast dishes, great location for us dinosaurs and our own driver to a clinic in Buda to remove my stitches. Priced...

Andras and the staff were all very hospitable, showing us all tips even before our arrival. Andras gave us a very detailed instruction on how to get to the hotel with different options, which make our way there super easy. He also gave us recommendations / tips for our stay at Budapest, we take all recommendations and make the most...

We were so glad we chose the Butterfly Home for our three day stay in Budapest. My husband and I were very well taken care of from our arrival at the train station to our departure from the airport. Andras and his family go out of their way to make your stay a pleasant one, from arranging transport to securing...

Well, we did come back to Butterfly Home, just for an overnight trip on our way to Vienna. To our surprise, we were greeted with some nice Hungarian treats awaiting us on a tray next to the coffee and tea. Just what the doctor ordered after our long train ride, and before our long flight home the next morning. Once...

Returned to Budapest in the fall, but this time for a weekend getaway with the missus, combined with some meetings on a Monday. Butterfly Home was our choice after my great experience the first time around. Stayed in the first floor Suite, that comes with a beautiful medieval town wall to really set a nice mood at night. Service was...

This home was very nice, the room was gorgeous, and the breakfasts were very good. Good location. The bathroom had a very strong odor, and no window or vent, but keeping the shower doors closed during the day helped. We stayed 4 nights. Attention from the owners was great during our visit, sometimes a little overly attentive (uncomfortable hovering while...

A small family run place in a lovely location, a quiet little street very close to Kalvin tér and the Nemzeti Múzeum. The host András, his wife, Timea, his father in law (never caught his name, I should have!) and their assistant Robert do their up-most to make sure you have the best time possible. I'd been to this city...

We spent a few days here on our way to China and we were sad to leave Budapest! The B&B is just everything you can possibly want: fantastic location, kind and very knowledgeable hosts and not to mention the free hot breakfast in the quaint restaurant next door! This city is amazing and we will definitely come back!

For old world charm and all the mod cons on a quiet pedestrian street, you will love the Butterfly Home. Let's see what else did we like--location, steps from everything tram, metro, bus routes, Museums, Central Market, shops, restaurants; then there was the convenience of the airport shuttle service and other services arranged by the owners. We didn't even need...

My wife and I travel quite a lot and have stayed in numerous Hotels around the world. Many of them are very good and deserve good reviews. Butterfly Home, however, stands out as one of the very best. Yes, as others have said, the rooms are great, the location is perfect and the breakfasts are exceptional. What really makes this...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
