(1) Perfect location - short walk to Vörösmarty Square (where walking tours start, metro); restaurants, shops, & market in every direction, large weekend craft market; close to Jewish quarter, Dohany synagogue; easy walk (20 min) to Danube for evening cruise.

There's also the new 100E express bus (just started this past summer) that runs direct to/from the airport starting at Deak Ferenc Ter. The stop is half a block away, on the other side of the street, and runs every half hour. It's a public transit bus so it's cheap (900HUF), but you have to buy the ticket from a vending machine at one of the metro or tram stations beforehand, you can't buy them on the bus itself.
