This is a cheap no frills hostel. Room doors are flimsy and would not protect your belongings. Rooms are clean and beds are a reasonable size. Reception smells bad but staff are reasonably helpful. I would not return unless I was on a similar trip

Excellent. The room was very clean, the beds were nice. The shower was always hot and kitchen was nice and clean too. Great location, and the staff guys were really really nice and helpful! Would definitely stay again :)

I would say this is a good hostel in certain ways. The rooms are good, and the kitchens are decent. However, the fact that they have only semi-broken showers, and won't care to fix them, well, that's says a lot. Some were not even usable, and the space was so tiny, like a closet. Some nice staff, and some not...

The romm ive stayed (4 beds with bathroom) wasnt connected to the heating system. The receptionist gave us a portable heater, but it couldnt reach any plug socket (the cable was too short and they didnt have any extension)... it was really cold inside the room!

The hostel is at great location in the center of Budapest, had a really decent price at new years eve weekend and we had a great time. They even let us stay past the check-out time on New Years Day because nobody was coming to the room after us, it was awesome after a long night...

My room (female only) is nice and cheap with private bathroom, comfort bed and locker. The staff are nice and helpful. It is easy to find food as well. But sometimes, in the night... a little bit noisy.

Staff very friendly and helpful. The hostel is very central with loads of cafes, bars and public transport. Not a lot of people hanging around in the kitchen so hard to meet people. Tho totally worthy of your travelling with friends and want a cheap, clean and central hostel.

Well, this hotel isn't exceptional but the job was done, it was a little hard to get there in the first place because of a card system that didn't work but in the end we got there. It is well located, not far from the Szimpla Kert, the city center (Pest), restaurants and other facilities. The rooms and bathrooms are...

Me and my friend stayed here for 4 nights. Pros: -our dorm of 8 girls had a private bathroom which was actually quite nice. -the location is great. It's right in the Jewish quarter by the ruin bars and other attractions, but also not too long a walk to the river or hop on the metro. Cons- it was quite...

I can't really fault the hostel itself as it was clean, in a good location close to bars, metro, main attractions etc and cheap but I didn't find it the most social hostel for a solo traveller. The kitchen was pretty clean and there was a big fridge to store food and there are cookers etc. Staff were friendly and...

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
