A fairly small hotel with very friendly staff. Everyone speaks English as do most people in the restaurants and main tourist spots. The best thing about the hotel is it's location which is absolutely perfect. Just walk out of the door and you are on the main tourist street. Also a very short walk to the hop on hop off...

This was a first trip to Budapest and the Residence Baron was a great place to stay. Its location was ideal for the sites we wanted to see. The room was comfortable. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. The breakfast had a good selection and was very tasty. We would definitely stay there again on a return trip to...

Perfect Location in a clean and comfortable hotel. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, Few minutes walk from Kalvin Ter Metro, trams and The Danube. The main shopping street is around the corner and the famous market is across the road. You won't need taxis and can do most things on foot from here.

Great location, would go back. it was centrally located very close to the market and pedestrian shopping area. Found a very nice restaurant with regional food that was excellent just across the side street of the Market that was not quite "very touristic" and very reasonable. The second meal we had there they had a large group of locals celebrating...

This hotel is one block away from the Danube, one block away from the underground and one block from the central market. There is good shopping and eating very close. The staff is very helpful. The breakfast was okay. Not great. But most buffets are not great. We had a room for a week that was nice and comfortable and...

I had a very pleasant stay from Oct 2nd-7th. I asked for a quiet room and was given 406 on 4th floor. Yes, it was small and had no view, but it was comfortable, well equipped, and kept very tidy. It had a TV/ PC, free safe (you set the code) and shower unit. The air conditioning was included and...

This hotel was in a good location and reasonable for the price. There was a few things that really bugged us about the stay. We had booked a double room with 2 singles, but the beds were pushed together. As we were checking in we were told we were getting a room upgrade which wasn't true. The breakfast was fairly...

We stayed here for 3 nights and found the hotel to be in a really good location, only 1 minute walk from tram and metro and just off of Vaci utca. The staff were all really friendly and happy to chat and offer local advice. Also, all spoke good English which was really helpful. The hotel room was large and...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
