The Hilton is set high on the hill where the old castle used to be. It's a lovely hotel in a nice touristy area with plenty to see. The views over the Pest side of the city are quite something. Everything you expect from a Hilton in a lovely and very interesting city.

We loved the view of Parliament across the Danube from our room on the Castle Hill. This Hilton on the Buda side of the river is great not only for its views of the spires of Pest but also for its location in a village consisting of beautiful houses, the stunning towers of the Fisherman's Bastion, and charming shops. It's...

Beautiful hotel and location. The hotel is located on Castle Hill (Vary Buda) and is very close to multiple attractions. Steps from Matthias Church. The staff is excellent and speaks multiple languages. The service is excellent and the security very good. We had the opportunity to stay at the Hilton Budapest after our Viking Cruise. The location was beautiful!. With public transportation just outside the front door, and the Fisherman's Bastion and St Mathias church just next door. It was wonderful to just step out side and enjoy the sunset over Budapest. The staff was wonderful and helpful in service and...

This is the second time I have stayed in this hotel. 5 star all the way. Staff can't do enough for you and rooms are always clean and fresh. The views are amazing across the city. Waking around the historic town was lovely as well as enjoying the beer festival that was on at the time.

We stayed here previously last Sept/Oct and although we fell in love with the place there were a couple of niggles, these being free wifi only in the restaurant and bar and towels which needed replacing. Congratulations to the hotel management for listening to your customer feedback. We were here last week with friends and could not fault it. Free...

Staying in District I / Buda

Neighbourhood Profile
District I / Buda
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.
