This Hilton is a pearl in it's own right, the rooms with views over the Danub and Pest are comfortable, the personal attention by the staff outstanding. We have had great meals in the restaurant. We will return over and again. Thank you!!!

Just returned from a 3 nights stay in the Hilton Budapest and both the wife and I really enjoyed our stay here. We had a lovely room (522) overlooking the church. The room was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. I mentioned that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary and they kindly brought up a complimentary bottle of champagne...

we came to the hotel at the end of a cruise down the Danube expecting it to be a climax to a wonderful holiday. After the cruise we found it to be the reverse an anti-climax. the situation was ideal but the facilities and the service for such a hotel were very poor. It was the sort of service that...

I love the location of this hotel on Castle Hill, right next-door to famous landmarks, and in the neighborhood of beautiful old historic streets with shops and quality restaurants. The exterior of the part of the hotel with the main entrance is beautiful. The exterior for the rest of the building is ugly and 1970s looking. Inside, the hotel is...

When visiting Budapest this is a very nice place to stay. It is, as the name suggests, in the middle of the Castle District which looks absolutely stunning. If you like to stay more in the city center this might not be your best pick. Although you can take a taxi which is pretty cheap (HUF 2500 - 4000). With...

Smack dab in the middle of the castle district surrounded by must-see attractions for the first time visitor...on the bus line for easy trip to Pest side (hotel taxis also fine and reasonably priced)...spectacular view from the room looking across the Danube to Pest...superb service from people who seemed to like what they do and take pride in it.

Staying in District I / Buda

Neighbourhood Profile
District I / Buda
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.
