One night in this hotel with husband and our daughter (5 years) in a triple room. The furniture is older, but the room was clean. Basic, older, but clean. The personal from reception was very friendly and helpful. Too much noize in the middle of the night from the british and asian tourists.

Me and my spouse stayed at this Hotel as a last minute booking through hotels.com and paid a reasonable price for the time of the year. It is a clean and pleasant hotel, the staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast provided is a standard continental breakfast, however could be improved with more variety, however was not bad. The hotel...

This is a great hotel! I was very pleasantly surprised by King's Hotel. I wasn't expecting much because it was quite cheap, but it was a really good hotel. And, believe it or not, the hotel actually does look exactly like on the pics! ;-) (as most travellers know, that isn't always the case with hotel pictures on websites) King's...

Hotel is okay for the rate they charge. We stayed for two nights in the kings hotel. The rooms are big but the bathrooms are bad. Our basin was leaking, however it was repaired immediately. The breakfast is awful tastes like 5 days old food. The orange juice is a joke!!! Staff was okay except one lady (very tall blonde...

We arrived to Budapest in May 2010 with our Intrepid tour. My wife and I decided to book an extra night staying at the Kings Hotel. The hotel is a very good place to stay for budget travelers not looking to stay at a hostel. Unfortunately for us it did not turn out to be so budget because we were...

This hotel is great for a weekend visit. It is centrally located within easy walking distance to a number of good reasonably priced resturants and bars. It's not too far from tram and underground stops on Andrassy Ut. Although the rooms are basic, they are spacious and the breakfast is good. I travelled in the winter and considered the rooms...

The rooms were clean, sufficient and good value. Hotel staff, particularly day manager on staff on 4/1 spoke very good English. He was very helpful and friendly. The hotel corridors can get quite noicy in the morning. Eventhough the rooms were specified as non-smoking, everyone that smoked did so on the balconies or in the inner courthyard, preventing us to...

King's hotel is in a pretty good location. Rooms are clean and mostly ok. But be aware, check all furnitures when you get to you room for the first time. There was a broken chair in one of our rooms and when we were leaving they were saying we have broken it. So make sure everything is fine when you...

Walking distance from all the major sights. Hotel staff spoke good English, they were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean, sufficient and good value. It would have been nice to have had tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Breakfast was plentiful. A great place to stay.

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
