Had a blast staying at Marco Polo, the hostel was very clean , it was very central to all the hip cool bars .. All the staff where real helpful one in particular was amazing Viktória , she went out of her way to help with all Question asked think without her the stay would not have been the same...

The rooms are comfortable, and very quiet; the walls are so thick that you can hear nothing. The service is exceptional. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Vicky, at the reception, was always there to look after us during our two week stay. Not only had she provided us with information, but also assisted in making bookings for events...

The perfect location to explore Budapest: near to the centre and nightlife, but not too noisy. The quality is brilliant compared to the price too. The dormitories are big but each bunk bed is separated with a wall and curtain and has a lockable closet. It does mean that it can be noisy at night, but you do expect that...

Thank you for the feedback! You gave me an idea how to increase security feeling for the dorm rooms -by "automatic" closing the door. Hope to set it soon! Thank you also for the nice feedback! :)

We stayed in the rooms on the top floor which had a huge window that turned our room into a greenhouse - SO hot! Viki the receptionist was terrible, she was extremely rude and unhelpful. She didn't know anything about the city and told us she didn't have time for us when we asked her questions. She even put her...

I am terribly sorry for the bad experience you had in our Hostel. Steps were taken in order to avoid such bad service at the reception! Please, accept my appologies again.

I came here with a friend, it was the perfect location. Next to everything so you could walk almost all of it. Very close to a street full of cool bars and restaurants but not so close so the noise did not bother at all. We stayed in a big room, it was really good because each two bunks where...

The hostel is conveniently located near the Blaha Luj o.s. metro station. Close to the station, there's a Spar supermarket. Closer to the hostel, there are Spar and Tesco supermarkets. We booked there because we got a great rate for a private triple with bathroom for 3 nights. The room was more for 2 people but they added a bed...

I will recommend it to my friends. Located in 7th district where you find Szimpla club/weekend farmers market. Walk distance from city center and from cross---stop of hopon&hopoff blue bus. Tesco supermarket you can pay with any creditcard is just around corner.

This hostel does exactly what is says on the tin. Very cheap and what you get for the money is very good. The free breakfast is very average but again, you get what you pay for and thee fact that this ends at 11 is a massive bonus. The rooms were clean and showers alright. Overall, fantastic value...

I stayed in a female-only dorm. The room had twelve beds, but it was huge. Every bunk bed had it's own small area, with a curtain so I felt like I had my own space. The lockers were very big and the shower was nice too. The only nuisance was that the wifi was only downstairs in the bar area...

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
