Hotel is in a lovely spot on the Buda side of the city, not too far to walk to catch one of the hop on hop off services. The hotel faces onto the river, although we had a rear room we had beautiful views of the castle which at night was lit. The hotel staff were very friendly nothing was...

My wife and I enjoyed a good time at Art'otel Budapest. The food was excellent, the view over Danube river was amazing and the room was tidy and clean. The bathroom was a little too small and not very well ventilated and I think the room looked a little bigger in the pictures. I really liked the the staff as...

We just stayed in this hotel for 3 nights a few days ago. It was exactly what we were looking for. 1. It had a superb view of the river, with our room looking right out at Parliament, the Chain Bridge just to the right. It was wonderful to watch the lights at night, and the window-doors opened to let...

Just leaving here after a 3 night break! Lovely view from the room of parliament, lovely breakfast, nice clean and cosy room. Only downfall the temperature in the room and the hotel is just too stuffy. Would recommend staying here though 🙌🏼 Check out sailor bar couple of doors down. cherry beer is delicious!! Love Budapest.

Me and my husband returned today from a 4 night stay (28th-31st March). Hotel is really nice with nice views across the Danube and views of the Parliament building. We arrived around 21.30pm and was offered an upgrade, which we gladly accepted, but sadly after the first night, the noise (particularly the doors opening and closing beneath us). We were...

Overlooks the Danube and parliament buildings. Balcony, spacious rooms, clean, fridge. Nice bar area and free printer for printing those irritating check in boarding passes. Found the wifi hard to access

Staying in District I / Buda

Neighbourhood Profile
District I / Buda
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.
