Had a quick trip to visit friends in Budapest and decided to stay on the Buda side. Found this great hotel with a fantastic location and view. After coming to Budapest a few times you get tired of the main areas and this is a great location to explore the Buda side. Walkable to the chain bridge and the Fisherman's... More

Had a working visit in September, with a conference at the hotel. Staff were great venue fantastic! Had a river facing suite with excellent views of the parliament building and chain bridge. Very easy walk to restaurants and shops. I will definitely head back here when travelling for recreation.

This is a fabulous hotel in brilliant location on Buda side of the Danube, close to the Chain Bridge and below the Fisherman's Bastion. We were "up-sold" to take the breakfast on check-in, which was a smart choice. Job to beat, really.

Our stay here was a wonderful surprise. This was our first visit to Budapest, and we were a bit apprehensive about our decision to stay here. Suffice it to say, we couldn't have done better for the location, quality, and price. The hotel has a beautiful view of the river and the parliament building. The room was spotless, and the... More

I especially chose this hotel for the view of the river and the Parliament and was not disappointed. Everytime I woke up, I had the full picture of this beautiful building right in front of me. We had a beautiful view of the Danube and Partliament building from our very clean, modern room. The staff was extremely helpful and patient in answering our many questions about sight-seeing, transportation, and restaurants. The location is perfect! We loved our stay at art'otel budapest. Our room was clean, modern, and quirky. We loved the firm bed (which is a rarity in most European hotels). The location can't be beat and the price was right. Make sure to ask for a room with a parliament view!!!! The breakfast buffet is huge and well worth it!

Staying in District I / Buda

Neighbourhood Profile
District I / Buda
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.
