We didn't get a Danube facing room, but that was all right -- we had a view of the castle which was beautifully lit at night. The room was spacious and we appreciated it very much. The breakfast selection is extensive with a hot and cold buffet. We hope to return soon.

Really loved this hotel. Great location. Worth paying for Danube view. You look out at the parliament buildings and Chain Bridge Fantastic at night. Just downhill from Fisherman's Bastion. Easy walking distance to most sights. Staff very friendly and helpful especially in the Bistrobar. Food there is really good.

Had 5 nights here last week, and was very pleased, the staff were excellent, as was breakfast and the location. Stayed in Rm 303, which is at the back, looking up to the castle. Took some reccs of restaurants from the bar staff but found Comme Chez Soi to have the best all round service/food. The hotel is right opposite...

Check in was friendly and efficient. I was prepared to be offered a river view room for an extra charge but was given an upgrade for no apparent reason. A big "Thank You" there. The room was very clean, had a Smart TV and the bed had a memory foam mattress. Breakfast was superb, buffet style and loads of choice,...

The hotel is a lovely hotel with friendly, attentive staff. It is in a perfect location, opposite the beautifully lit parliament building and a 10 minute walk from the chain bridge. The hill behind the hotel has great views over Pest and the Danube river, especially at night. With a metro station 10 minutes walk away this hotel has everything...

This was a great hotel which made our holiday that bit better. Comfy, cosy modern rooms which were spotlessly cleaned and – following the advice of the trip advisor community, we booked a river view hotel and had a spectacular view of the parliament building and chain bridge at night. So romantic! My only complaint about this hotel was breakfast...

We arrive at this hotel, due to the fact that the hotel that we had booked initially, was overbooked and we were treated contemptuous at the reception because "we came from the streeet".However when I said that I will write down this on trip adviser the behavior was changed. ( As "a kind of compensation" they offered us free parking)...

great hotel with fabulous views (if you choose a Danube view room!). Bedrooms really spacious, comfortable and clean, and very warm! Loved the fact there was a kettle in the room. Breakfast was well organised, hot and cold buffet style, with a constant supply of fresh food added to the buffet by friendly staff. The location is good, especially for...

Staying in District I / Buda

Neighbourhood Profile
District I / Buda
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.
