We have just returned from a lovely weekend . The Sofitel Chain Bridge is in a fabulous location . The best thing by far about this hotel is the Staff , we felt welcome and well looked after. Alua seemed to be everywhere and was always friendly and helpful. But we also wanted to give a special mention to George...

The hotel is located on a perfect location, walking distance from actually almost everywhere- just on the beginning of the famous Vaci Ucsa (main street), and the maim metro station De frec ter. Take a room with a view! It is really stunning! And it gives another point of view of the Danube. Go to the 8th floor and take...

We stayed for 3 nights. The hotel is large, open spaced in the middle and is well decorated. We were upgraded to King size. The rooms are big and quiet. Clean rooms. The staff is very friendly and willing to assist. Very good concierge. Business center supplies access to printers/ fax etc. We did not eat breakfast in the hotel...

First time in Hungry to attend company's European conference. I took my wife to spend extra few days for tourism. The Sofitel Chain Bridge is perfectly located as central point to move around either by bus, boat or walking. We were received with a warm welcome. Due to my possession of Accor membership card we were upgraded to executive room...

Well hotel you had your chance, My wife and I celebrated our 40th Wedding anniversary with you this week and were disappointed. I had mentioned the celebration to you before our visit and when I checked into our room I mentioned it again to the receptionist who appeared cold and uninterested. In our great excitement, when I got to our...

This was the comfiest bed I've ever slept in. The decor was easy on the eyes and there's a casino. It's also right on the Danube so you get great views of the Chain Bridge as well as the hilly Buda side across the river. Breakfast is a buffet. I could easily walk to any of the main attractions in...

Amazing in all respects. Great location. Wonderful service. And the breakfast is fabulous! We stayed for six nights and unexpectedly were able to include our 18 year old daughter at the last minute. The one person (and room) upgrade was quite reasonable (36 Euros/night). Overall incredible value.

What a fabulous hotel! It's excellent location next to the (Széchenyi) Chain Bridge (of which I had a view from my room) means you can be over on the Buda side of the city in just a few minutes but are also ideally located to explore the buzzing Pest side. Loved the unique layout and interiors of this hotel, and...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
