I just came back from Budapest. I stayed three nights overthere. I had a river view room. Night view of castle hill and chain bridge from hotel room was simply fantastic. Perfect location, polite staff, very good breakfast - overall very nice atmosphere. A man in reception also offered me free WiFi; that was really great. Rooms are not perfectly...

Arrived late at night expecting as booked a double deluxe smoking room with river view, on arrival to the over cluttered lobby was offered a standard twin non smoking room overlooking office block to the rear!!! How wrong can one hotel get! The guy on reception was polite enough and offered us free wifi! Which at least helped us get...

Stayed at this great hotel from 28th December - 2nd Jan. Check in was really friendly and efficient. We were given a nice room over looking the city not the river. As can be expected, this hotel is very elegant and overall really nice. We greatly enjoyed our stay here, not just because of the location and hotel itself, but the staff really went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. We've also stayed at the Le Meridien, and as far as the 5 star hotels are concerned, I...

I'm sure we must have been given the best room in the hotel -- room 916. This room is huge and it has a fabulous picture window view of the Danube river and all of iconic sites on the Buda side of the river. The view was so beautiful I didn't want to close the draperies at night. It's a...

Service was really great with the usual genuine Hungarian care. Beautiful Danube view from the room which is not 5-star but more like 3.5- 4, due to lack of storage. Restaurant has an excellent, varied buffet. The room keeps it from the 4.5 -5 star range.

We only went here for Christmas brunch, but were very disappointed. The turkey and duck were dry, and there was not a very appetizing selection. Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
