Unfortunately on arrival we were told there had been a power cut and we'd be sent to an alternative hotel in a taxi and brought back the next day. On check in the following morning we were told our rooms were not ready. However how could the rooms not be ready if there had been a power cut and nobody...

Stayed at the Mercure Korona for 7 nights. The hotel is centrally located and you have everything you need. Wifi is great and we heard no noise from the outside even though the hotel is so central. Negatives were the air con wasn't that good, and given it was particularly hot that wasn't great. I also thought the rooms don't...

The hotel location is excellent, rooms are very clean. The only thing was the beds which are not comfortable. We got 2 beds which are on wheels thus they are not stable. Other than that everything was great. Breakfast is very good.

Had a room facing the busy street and could not hear a thing! Very pleasant place to stay in the center. The bar doenstairs however has a beer for 1690 forints which is 1000 more than ANY other place around town. Skip it.

I stayed at this hotel 2 years ago and had a great experience. You can read my review on TripAdvisor. On a recent 2 day trip to Budapest I again chose it but was quite disappointed. I did not get an upgrade as a premium LeClub member and the room I got was small and dated. The carpet smelled so...

Stayed for business meetings. Thee hotel has two building joined by a walkway and is centrally located with easy access to many local attractions and restaurants, which may offer cheaper aperitifs. Close proximity to the River walks and nightlife, if this is your want.

I liked location close to city center and famous bridge, Nice bar inside. Currency exchange also is available in Hotel and in a building beside. I could walk to Rudas spring water for relaxation and swim.

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
