I stayed here with my friend in a twin bedded room and was happy with the amount of room we had. It was perfectly adequate for two people, especially as we were out most of the day. The furnishings were fine with decent hanging space, a table and chair and a nice, spacious shower cubicle (no bath). Everything was clean in...

Very nice hotel! Included breakfast had large variety. Front desk was always helpful! The location was excellent....within walking distance to most attractions. Directly outside the hotel is the shopping, tourist district. Overpriced shops compared to other places in the city. On the same street were tourist hustlers which I found annoying and sometimes insulting. The street vendors get in your...

This hotel is old, dirty, smelly.... what an experience! The rooms remember some old hotel from the 89ies, with old forniture, very uncomfortable beds and old (and not so clean) bathrooms. I am just happy I stayed there only one night. The personal, on the contrary, is indeed very nice and speak English really well. This is why instead of...

We picked this hotel most because of the location. It's perfect right on Vaci Utca, and Metro-station is close to this hotel. Staff is friendly and helpful. Nice lobby-bar. Rooms a little bit small, but we didn't spend much time in there anyway. We had a room on the top floor, and I hoped for some view, but the view...

We stayed here for 6 nights and found the hotel adequate, but the decor is a bit tired and dated, especially the bathrooms. It's clean and all the staff are helpful, speaking good English and some other languages. DO: The location just in the centre of the city in the pedestrian street. A lot of souvenir shops, restaurants, 100 meters from Dunabe river. DON'T: Two minuses: the hotel needs a renovation and the breakfast is extremely expensive - 17 Euro per person.

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
