Good. Because we travel on the railways we always like a hotel as near the station as possible. We find that the general standard of cleanliness etc. Is good all over Europe. All we need is a decent bed.

After a many good reviews on a variety of websites I decided to go ahead and book. My main requirement was that it was near the Keleti train stop, which it was a quick 3 minute walk away. Probably won't be the fanciest hotel you'll stay in, but it's clean. Dated but clean. Nice staff that speak English. would recommend.

Hotel is clean and comfortable. Request rooms at the back of the hotel we asked to be moved from room at front of hotel after the first night due to noise from traffic on street. Bus stops just outside hotel for all tours. The sauna room was def worth the visit after long day out sight seeing. Staff were friendly...

We were at this hotel for one night after a trip to Slovekia. The hotel is very big and we had got a nice appartment there. The biggest problem is that because its so big, the meals at the hotel are so masive and not very comfortable. Other then this is a nice hotel and at a good location.

A very quick work trip. Was satisfied with the room; large comfy bed, clean, space to move around. The room was facing the street and, as is often the case in big cities, it was quite noisy. The breakfast was good,a lot of choice of both hot and cold food. The dining room was rather full - to be expected I...

Rooms need some renovations, because they look like from socialist times. Condition didn't work, it was hard to open the window. Service was good, but it was too noisy in the street. The view from the window was super!

Room Clean, good Wifi, Very kind receptionist, quick check in-out service, little bit far from central(15-20 minutes by walk) but close to rail station. It's a little bit noisy, because my room was city road view.

I think the basic characteristics of an hotel staff is to be friendly and welcoming and Hotel Hungaria staff are the opposite especially the morning luggage room man. The hotel rooms are good and the location is a bit far from the main attractions but the awful treatment of old man in the luggage room will even make me rethink...

Having read mixed reviews I was apprehensive about this hotel but there was no need. On arrival our room had been upgraded to superior, the rooms are comfortable and clean and the same as shown in photos. Breakfast was excellent, buffet style with plenty of choice, choice being the operative word: one morning we had goulash, pasta, chill con carne...

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
