Stayed at this hotel for the second year running while attending the Grand Prix. We were given one of the new refurbished rooms on the upper floor and it was brilliant. Massive spacious room, new fittings, free fast wifi and ice cold aircon. The staff were very helpful whenever we had a query and the location is great, right next... More

This is a basic budget hotel in a good location, 15min walk from train station, 2min walk from Metro, 15min walk to the Danube and within walking distance to most attractions. The rooms are of decent size, beds are great however a/c not the best and not the greatest of views on offer. Staff all very helpful.

My first time at this ibis hotel and I was quite impressed. While the lobby and entrance is rather small, my room was excellent! Roomy by ibis standards, very clean room, comfortable bed, flat screen TV, counter space and a built-in seating area as well. Bathroom was bright and clean and had a very nice modern shower stall. Also, the... More

Situated in a back street just around the corner from the Metro and trams. Was very clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Definitely one of the better IBIS hotels. I find it odd that the hotel advertising on the outside says 'We were expecting you' but I satill had to give my name :)

We had a great time in Budapest thanks in a large part to the staff at the IBIS Budapest City. Norbert provided us with a lot of simple details that can be easily overlooked. e.g museums are closed on Mondays etc. One of the manager's Maria Kiss was equally kind and helpful. You could really tell that they wanted you... More

We visited Budapest around Easter 2013 for 5 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Ibis. Staff were very friendly, the breakfast was great and the rooms were comfortable - there wasn't much of a view, but you've got the whole city to see for that. I would thoroughly recommend if you are looking for something as a base... More

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
