The only thing stopping me from giving it a five star is I contacted the hotel website twice before my holiday , requesting a back room away from the traffic and I had no response and when I arrived we were put in a front room . We didn’t complain as we didn’t want to make a fuss but either the website requests isn’t checked by the hotel or it is out of date . Everything else was fantastic , traffic noise apart a great stay.
The trams the 17 or 61 followed by a 47 takes you to the bridge next to the market hall which is well worth a visit and the 8e bus takes you directly to the next bridge along and nearest the central shopping area , both are regular services from just across the road , we walked in a couple of times but it’s a 2 mile walk and not exactly a sonic delight 😊
Breakfast was the same every morning hot dog sausages /mixed with bacon , scrambled eggs and eggy bread and a mixture of cereals , yoghurts , bread and cheese and hams , perfectly adequate if you don’t want anything too fancy .
Rooms were great not only air conditioned but also a fan , noise from the road apart which we got use to . Basic rooms but no complaints at all I was more than happy with mine and they were cleaned every day when we were out
All reception staff were polite and helpful and spoke good English . They even allowed us to store our luggage on the last day free of charge as our taxi didn’t leave for the airport until 5pm
Locally there’s a petrol station across the road for drinks and snacks and a fantastic and well priced restaurant 150 yards up the road which we would have visited more than the one time we did had it not been closed on the last few days of our holiday ( owner must have been going on his own holiday 😊)
In summary this hotel deserves a lot of credit we had a great stay , my tip would be contact the hotel directly if you can or via your travel agents to get a back room away from the traffic , if you’re happy with the basics and don’t expect a wow factor you will enjoy your stay

This hotel albeit a little dated was very clean and adequate for our requirements which was somewhere to rest after a day of exploring. We were approximately a mile and a half walk away from the bridge over to Pest. We chose to walk and not use public transport which meant we came across beautiful spots which we may have missed had we used public transport. One of these, not too far from the hotel was The Garden of Philosophy on Gellert Hill. We booked on a room only basis and had the buffet breakfast at the hotel on two occasions which was reasonably priced. The hotel had a small fridge in the room, along with tea and coffee making facilities, towels and a hairdryer. There were extra pillows available and our room was quietly situated to the back of the property. The gentleman that checked us in was warm and friendly despite it being the middle of the night and advised us that the hotel was not serving lunch or dinner during our stay. This was disappointing and quite inconvenient on the second night when we were tired and didn’t fancy venturing back into town. We grabbed a couple of sandwiches from the garage across the road but they were pretty grim! I’m not sure if this is standard from the hotel or just a one off. They did host a wedding reception while we were there which was very noisy until around midnight but other than that a quiet hotel. We weren’t made aware of a sauna which I see they advertise. We would return to this hotel again should we be lucky enough to visit Budapest again.

A very clean and modern hotel. The breakfast is by buffet help yourself. The fare is varied and plentiful. If you are a light sleeper try and get a room at the back of the hotel as the hotel is situated near a busy four road intersection. It didn't bother us as we used to traffic noise living on a busy road at home.
The public transport is excellent and a bus stop into the city will be found about seventy five metres from the hotel. You cannot buy tickets from the driver, across the busy intersection where the return bus stops on it's return from the city is a ticket machine. Purchase a 24, 48, 72 hour or longer bus pass, this will allow you to use all the public transport in Budapest except the Hop on and Hop off buses. This includes the trams and the metro. If you don't want to buy a ticket you can still use the bus without one as the driver will not check. However, occasionally an inspector will be on the bus to check tickets, if you don't have one you will be faced with a large fine.
By bus it takes some ten minutes to get to Elizabeth bridge, get off there or the next stop some fifty metres further on. Check your map and look for Vaci Uta, this is a traffic free road with numerous restaurants. We found Cafe Ana to be a good place to eat and drink as it is situated in a pleasant spot and just across the road from the indoor market. Finally, if you do decide to walk to Elizabeth bridge from the hotel be prepared to encounter a lot of traffic en route, it is further than you think and not very enjoyable on a hot day.

We arrived at the hotel at about 11 am, shocked to see that it was about 15 steps from the main entrance to a very busy main road that also had a flyover, which caused a lot of road noise breakfast was lukewarm scrambled egg lukewarm sausages and half cooked so called crispy bacon the room was spotlessly clean
The coffee and tea were very sparse
The bar was very quiet because the night manager had to book people in, so he couldn't serve at bar there was no background music
I feel this is only a 2 star rated hotel
I have worked in many a hotel as Chef and manager

Stayed here for 3 nights, with my wife, during a brief stay in Budapest.
On the whole the hotel is clean and comfortable. Staff are generally courteous, regarding information about sights to see etc, depends very much on who is on reception. In our case we were fortunate, as the gentleman gave us an in-depth explanation about best places to visit. Unfortunately I can’t remember his name to give him a mention.
We had a front room on the 3rd floor. This was extremely noisy as the hotel faces a very busy main road with a flyover. Add to that the noisy trundle of the tramcars! My advice would be to try and get a back room if possible.
En suite facilities were clean, towels changed every day. Beds were comfortable. Flat screen TV. Minibar in the room although we didn’t avail of this as there was no price list. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room but please bear in mind there is no milk! As seasoned travellers we found this very odd. When we asked about this at reception, we were told they don’t supply milk, but it could be purchased at the fuel station, diagonally across the road. Sandwiches, snacks and drinks could also be purchased here.
We were on a B&B basis. Breakfast was okay. Included was a choice of breads, cereals, mini pastries, ham, cheese, fruit, hot dog type sausages, scrambled egg, bacon, boiled eggs, fruit juice, tea and coffee. In our experience the dining room staff’s knowledge of allergens etc was limited.
If you are budget orientated and want to get to the hotel from the airport cheaply then take the 200E bus from near terminal 2 to Metro Line M3. From here take the Metro to Ferenciek Tere. Then either bus number 8E or 112 to BAH - Csomopont. Hotel is then only a 4 to 5 minute walk.
If arriving at the main railway station, then bus number 8E or 112 from here to BAH - Csomopont.
Hotel is on the Buda side, a good half an hour’s walk to Pest or the same bus numbers as already mentioned. Bus travel is inexpensive. Best and slightly cheaper to purchase bus tickets from the vending machines. Some of the drivers can be a bit stroppy (as we found out) if you purchase them on the bus!

The hotel is next to a 4 lane motorway traffic noise is horrendous its a 35min walk(mostly uphill) to pest where everything is albeit buses are good and take about 10mins. The hotel looks drab from outside and not much better inside we requested a room at back which we got thank god. The room was small and dirty ..we had to wipe down surfaces .. the towels were very old and grey . Everything was quite tired. There was a large dog in a guest room which was barking ... when we went for breakfast the owner of the dog( a huge alsation) brought it into the dining room ..fed it from the table petted it then handled the bread etc on the self service breakfast. There were no cups or milk available.. we waited 5 mins for anybody to appear, selection was poor ( at least what was left) we didn't bother the second day. When we enquired about the spa we were told it was under renovation ( no mention on check in or when booking) staff were off hand . Very noisy large group were staying here and could be heard all over hotel. This is NOT a 4 star hotel .

Very clean and good value. However unless you are happy to use public transport or taxis, you’d be better off staying in Pest rather than Buda as my grown up son and I had 45 min walks to restaurants. Also, try and select a room on with a number 6 or higher (not overlooking the front) which is a bit noisy with main roads and trams. Breakfast was a little mundane but plenty to fill yourself should you wish

Me and my partner was meant to stay here for 3 nights but left after 1 night and booked into another hotel due to the amount of noise from the traffic all night long. The room was very dated and grubby with stains on the walls, the bathroom had mould on tiles and the shower curtain. Breakfast was awful with under cooked scrambled eggs orange juice very sour and the room not big enough for the people staying there with other guests trying to take your tables even with your belongings on there. The only reason 2 stars was given was for the night porter.

Just had 3 nights at this hotel check in was quick and easy by Shandor at reception who was a very friendly guy and helpful with local information. ROOM was very spacious spotlessly clean with a sofa and comfy chairs and a mini bar in the room ,tea and coffee was also supplied and their was clean towels every day only downside was the traffic noise from a busy road outside. BREAKFAST was fine cereals ,yogurts, pastries ,etc cold meats and cheeses and a hot choice of scrambled eggs and sausages .BAR great selection of drinks in a very comfy bar area and great prices for a hotel, their is also an outside terrace area to sit .LOCATION you are a good 30 minute walk away from Pest itself but you have a bus and tram stop literally 100 yards from the hotel and a 24 ticket only costs about 4 euros and you can hop on and off whenever you want so great value .All in all nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff .

Spacious rooms and bedding was spotless. Decor is a bit dated and only appeared to be one member of staff on after breakfast. Location is a busy road but there's good bus stops very near by taking you straight into town centre. Basic hotel we did try breakfast one morning but it was not the best selection.

Yes room was clean with tea/coffee making facilities. We went in December so we were using the heating and not air conditioning (heating worked ok) . We live in London so the road traffic noise didn’t bother us and our room overloaded the main road. What I can definitely tell you is the staff were excellent and travel around the town was easy from our location.
