We arrived in the morning and were told the room would be ready at 2 pm. We left our luggage and went off exploring the city. However when we returned after 2 pm the previous occupant still had not checked out. The desk staff were...More
The location just off Kalvin Square is great, close to the metro, the market, restaurants and bars, and easy to get to anywhere in Budapest and the airport.

Quite a nice place, breakfast basic, no continental but ok, should have more healthy options available. Our room had a balcony and high ceiling, the room doors are old woon hence you mihht hear noise from the corridoor. No airconditioning or fridge/minibar.
Clean Hotel, situated in a very good location, easy access even by walk especially to the Central Market and Vaci Street. Very friendly and helpful staff. They also helped us in booking a taxi. Good breakfast with different choices.

as Huskies92 pointed out the Hotel is not in walkable distance from Keleti train station but is doable taking the metro but depends how much luggage you have and if you are comfortable using the metro. You would need to take the M2 line towards Deli Palyaudvar but get off at Deak Ferenc and change to get the M3 line towards Kobanya-Kispest and get off at Kalvin Ter, which is the second stop. I didn't use metro to go to train station but I did use metro for airport and to other places. It's easier if you buy day pass or travel card. Check the Metro map to give you an idea.
I had a pleasant stay at Hotel Kalvin it's close to a lot of places.
