Small hotel with large rooms in an old building. Low priced but very good value. pleasant staff .
Breakfast basic buffet and just about ok. Coffee supplied via vacuum flasks and luke warm only. It suits our needs and budget therefore good for us .
Just back from a wonderful four night stay in Budapest. The Hotel is located centrally and within walking distance of most of the major sights, just a stones throw from the market. The room had basic facilities but it was very comfortable, immaculately clean and...More

as Huskies92 pointed out the Hotel is not in walkable distance from Keleti train station but is doable taking the metro but depends how much luggage you have and if you are comfortable using the metro. You would need to take the M2 line towards Deli Palyaudvar but get off at Deak Ferenc and change to get the M3 line towards Kobanya-Kispest and get off at Kalvin Ter, which is the second stop. I didn't use metro to go to train station but I did use metro for airport and to other places. It's easier if you buy day pass or travel card. Check the Metro map to give you an idea.
I had a pleasant stay at Hotel Kalvin it's close to a lot of places.
