Should you manage to reserve a room, you're in for a treat. You'll be at home, not in a hotel nor even in a bed and breakfast, which is what Abel Pansio actually is. It's a quirky place -- booze set out for guests on the honor system for starters. Home-made modern art on the walls. A veranda over a...

Very charming small hotel. Staff is very friendly, street is green and quiet (but not a country-like) street. It can be easily reached by tramline 61 (via metro-station Szell Kalman ter, (on old maps called Mozskva ter), dir. Moricz Zsigmund korter, stop at Szürell utca.) Good breakfast. If you like art nouveau/jugendstil, this is the place to be. Prices are...

The staff, the stay, the standards, and the setting at Abel Panzio made our trip to Budapest wonderful. The owner and his staff were extremely accommodating with polite service, friendliness and attention to helping us get around Budapest. For example, when leaving we had a early flight and they packed a hearty breakfast to take with us. Our private room...

we spent 4 or 5 days in a double room with private bathroom, I can only say good things about this place, people in charge was very friendly and of great help. They not only made us feel at home for those days but they provided a lot of info regarding the places we wanted to visit. Their location is...

I stayed in this wonderful pension in January 2012 for 7 nights. It was exactly what I was looking for: conveniently located (a 15-minute walk to Gellert Hill or a short tram ride), friendly, quiet and clean. But it was also more than that - a beautifully converted villa with the most kind and lovely owner and helpful staff, interesting...

This lovely, quiet, private pension, located on the Buda side, will continue to be our location of choice as we return to Budapest in the future. If you're flying in it's about a 22 Euro ride from the airport, but make sure you take a taxi from the taxi stand and not one of the local "cabbies" waiting outside the...

My wife and I got a double room and mother-in-law got a single room for two nights. The neighborhood was nice if a little out of the way and was easy to find. The house itself was very nice and the fridge was stocked with beer, wine, and drinks. While the rooms were spacious and clean they had a little...

My husband and I stayed at ABEL Panzio for 8 nights July 2011 and we were happy and comfortable there. The house is a beautifully restored Hungarian villa (built 1913) with all the charm which this implies. Situated in a quiet residential area it has a shady and restful garden which residents can use. Convenient for the city, with excellent...

First night, my train arrived late, almost midnight. The directions to Abel Panzio from their website were perfect and easy to follow. When I arrived, the hotel was locked, but I rang and the staff greeted me, smiling and escorted me immediately to my room and told me to get comfortable and sleep well. The room was very spacious and...

We had a wonderful stay in the pension. It is a very quiet place in a special atmosphere. The receptionist was lovely and very helpful. If we come back to Budapest we`ll definetely stay at this place again. Although it was so hot in town the rooms were comfortable thanks to airconditioning.
