We would recommend the Hotel Erzsebet City Center over other similar "4" star hotels in the area. Very quiet location, friendly staff, and close to the city center. The rooms are very clean and well kept. We stayed at another hotel for part of the week when we were in Budapest and preferred the Hotel Erzsebet City Center 100% more...

nothing to eat after 9:30pm, for sure this is not a 5 start hotel. After driving 6 hours to reach the hotel the restaurant was close at 9:30, was open but only for drinks. The hotel is to add, the room also looks not very clean

Old hotel near city center. Needs update. Everything in the room looks old. Staff are polite and helpful. If you love steak, you must visit the steakhouse in the hotel. We stayed from 7 - 10th April, 2017 for 3 nights.

Great central location all attractions within walking distance, very friendly and helpful staff, very clean hotel and rooms very clean, no tea, coffee facilities, breakfast had food for all tastes. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Comfortable hotel, small enough, mid-century old world charm in the lobby. Excellent wine bar next door. Breakfast was delicious. Room had everything that was needed (except shampoo). Would recommend any time. So close to everything. A quick walk to the big market.

Reasonably priced and very well located hotel for our city break in Budapest. Next door to the best coffee house in the city. Room clean and well equipped if on the small side but good for the price. Excellent breakfast to start the day.

rooms basic but functional and clean. centrally located, desk staff very helpful but restaurant staff need to learn to smile more, as they seemed to give impression that guests were an inconvenience if they were asked for anything

This is probably two stars MAX with W European standards. Location is very good but hotel is real basic. Had to request change of room after 5' as we had booked std triple room and trust me - no one over the age of 10 could have had an hour of sleep in the barely made up mini sofa chair....

Read the title. The room was good, clean, shower worked, the view was of Budapest which was expected. The staff helpful, and English speaking which was excellent as my Hungarian is awful. The breakfast was outstanding. Buffet of everything you could possibly want and was like an all you can eat. Overall it was outstanding value in a beautiful city.

Hotel is in a good location, our twin room was clean and comfortable, and the shower was very good with plenty of hot water. Cable TV was advertised, however there was only 1 channel in English (BBC news), which got rather boring after a short time! It was unseasonably cold and wet during our stay and it was annoying that...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
