Close to the city center (did not have to use the metro but once to go to Heroes Square and baths), very very clean, good beds and pillows, decent brfk -unlimited with cold items and bread (no hot items but that is to be expected, see VFM). Lidl supermarket directly across for extras and a quick bite, metro station directly...

Leo Panzio is a centrally located guesthouse, with all the mod-cons one could ask for. The rooms are a bit dated, and some of the wallpaper shows its age but the friendly service, welcome package, room amenities and helpfulness of the staff more than make up for a little wear and tear. The Hotel is located on the second floor...

I was booked into Leo Panzio for 5 nights. I thought I'd go and have a look at it before checking in. Thank goodness I did. The place is creepy! It's hard to get in for a start...it feels like one of those "Escape" games! You have to follow all these weird directions. I took a look at a room...

Great location close to many shops, restaurants and thai massage spas. We arrived in the late evening and had trouble entering the security code to the main entrance which was a little confusing, but after that first evening we knew the procedure. The staff was friendly and helpful. They arranged airport pick up and we also booked our hop on...

the location of this hotel is great but the room was very out dated. the bed was average, the bathroom was tiny, breakfast was very basic. staff were very friendly. We found it hard to gain access to the hotel, luckily a person was coming out as we entered.

This place was perfect for our needs: clean, centrally located, helpful enough staff, lots of character. Better than a big chain hotel and a nice value for the money. TV, free wifi, very easy to walk everywhere and close to all public transportation. Great if you're not looking for "luxury" and don't want to spend too much - would stay...

Why would you ever stay in a big name Hotel in Budapest. Drink up the atmosphere of this150 year old gothic style Hotel. Reeks of charm of a by gone era. Absolutely charming,& so so reasonably priced . Then there is the beautiful lift of black lace wrought iron & it runs so quietly. We shall return again.

I am a world traveller and have stayed in many different styles of hotels throughout my life but this one is most likely the worst experience I've ever had. Tiny room (I was given the number 4), unqualified staff, very poor breakfast and to top it off, unsafe, The service is impersonal (there's always only one employee in the reception...

The hotel is very close to the centre. The facilities are quite basic but what makes the hotel inviting are the very helpful staff. The breakfast can be improved because it is too basic. The lady serving the breakfast is fantastic.

Leo Panzio is a nice, slightly older hotel in the center of Budapest. Located at a metrostation and a 1 min walk of the main shopping street the location is perfect. The beds in the hotel aren't the best and the pillows were way too thin for my liking. The breakfast is rather simpel but it is sufficient. The hotel...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
