Very fine hotel, grand, centrally located. The staff is amazing - very friendly and helpful. Easy access to public transpo. The best thing is that on our last day we had to check out very early to catch a very early train - we were surprised to receive two "picnic" bags with sandwiches, fruit, and beverages for our 6+ hrs...

The staff at the Boscolo were incredible - each and every one will go out of their way to make your stay as special as it possibly can be. I celebrated a very special occasion during my stay and everything the staff put in made it much more unique, beautiful and unforgettable. The rooms will blow you away - elegant,...

A beautiful hotel, with central hallway around which the hotel rooms are situated on 5 floors. Room was spacious, clean and well maintained. The dining area is renovated and it looks like you are in an old museum. The food is very good. Prices for a first class hotel are reasonable if you are used to European major cities. The...

The staff were helpful and very pleasant, however a number of things let this hotel down for me. Housekeeping being a big issue. On arrival one of our rooms wasn't ready, it was after 3 but not a problem as we were advised that we could have complimentary coffee and cake whilst we waited. The cafe is stunning and the...

You can certainly find more expensive and more lavish hotels, but this place is luxurious and has great service. Never had a bad experience in 5+ visits. New York Cafe is beautiful and breakfast there is excellent. Parking is reasonable and quick valet service. The hotel is close to some great nightlife and easy walking distances to major tourist spots....

Our experience was nothing short of amazing. In reading previous reviews regarding customer service issues, my guess is this must have been resolved as we had great service. The concierge changed our original room assignment and gave us a room with a balcony on the 7th floor. Wow! A bird's-eye view of Budapest. We were definitely satisfied. That said, here...

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights with work back in March and was very impressed. The hotel feels very luxurious and the building itself is absolutely beautiful. The main dining room in particular was incredibly ornate with a pianist serenading us whilst we ate breakfast. Big room, fantastic shower and blackout curtains which made for a great night's...

I typically don't give a 5 star rating to hotels no matter how good my experiences are unless they are truly a 5 star hotel-and the Boscolo Budapest is a true 5 star hotel. We had a king room and the bed was fabulous and it was furnished very nicely. i think the best part of the room however was...

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
