i am in Austria now, but often in Budapest. One of the best choose this hostel in the center. cheap restaurants and pubs. Every central location in walking distance. staff dont disturb you. You can find great friends. Best internet cafes in the area, supermarkets nearby. Matro stations in walking distance

At first we had some difficulties finding the hostel as the sign was very small and the reception was also rather hard to locate in the building. But when we get there the receptionist was extremely nice and friendly and willing to give tips where to go and show some places from the map. We had booked a double ensuite,...

Excellent staff, great location. The best hostel I've ever stayed in in its price range. Our flight was horribly messed up by the carrier, but they were so prompt that I could arrange for an extra night on short notice from the airport before arrival in Budapest. Something different at breakfast every day, and a chance to talk to people...

We had a great time at the 1st. The staff was friendly and helpful and we very much enjoyed that security was very good. Everything was very old and nice and the hostel had a clean style and just seemed very clean. The location was good, because it was very close to the center, however some monuments are far, but it´s...

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
