Clean, modern and in an excellent location. The river view room is definitely worth paying for - very special both during the day and at night. Good spot from which to go for a run along the Danube (over Chain Bridge towards the island then...More
We stayed for three nights and found the hotel to be very good.
Our room was on the back of the hotel looking up to the Castle so no river view but a lovely spacious double with air con and a small balcony
The Lanchid hotel very nice and central location, still very quiet (which really surprised me). My room was looking towards the bulevard but still I did hear any noise from the traffic. It face the river and the view was very beautiful. We could reach...More

Two nights in this stylish hotel, with a drop-dead view. The staff were incredibly helpful, particularly the two guys that were doing the night shift on reception the night before the great May 1st celebrations. I thoroughly recommend staying in this hotel.
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many
events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.
