The hotel is run down, and urgently requires a full renovation. What you experience is a journey back in time. Furniture, fixtures, appliances are a reminder of the last days of the communist era. This applies to the rooms, all public areas and, especially, the restaurant...Food is mediocre. The location in the park could be nice IF there were mosquito... More

Booked it for 7 nights but only slept there 2. We had to pay 2 nights extra that we could change to another hotel. Very dirty, no ac, no WiFi in a room, waiters were rude and basically whole hotel was in terribly bad condition. Wrecking ball needed and nothing good to say.

Hotel was prebooked for my group and it was the worst two nights of my life. The hotel was dirty and some people in our groups had shower racks break, no hot water, shower hose problems, and the glass from a window shatter on them. Worst of all was the hotel not only didn't have AC units, but had no... More

The only thing to like about the hotel is its location. It is very near to the Nagyedro Park and the Debrecen stadium so one can get enough of open lush green area to look around, jog, or just sit idle and watch the greenery. But you can enjoy only if you are outside the hotel, the moment of truth... More

The hotel is good. The staff is the best. The place is also good. Near to town center. If you are looking at other people who disliked this hotel is wrong. It's a nice hotel in a nice place. Go and you will see.

Stayed here for six days in December, and the hotel was just about what I expected. Old-fashioned, slow elevators (and they should be more plentiful and spacious) and generally a bit outdated. The food in the restaurant wasn't much to shout about, although breakfast was Ok, apart from the fact that there seemed to be a shortage of decent bread... More

One of the worst hotel experiences in the last 5 years. Style of the sixties but feels like the last vacuum cleaning was in the sixties as well. Uncomfortable, broken bed, dust everywhere. The breakfast and dinner was simply disgusting. It is cheap but I am sure you can find cheaper family-run pensions. The hotel requires a full renovation but... More

This is a soviet era hotel, early sixties, and still has a bit of that aura. It's very conveniently located with regards to the Debrecen sports stadium, Fonix Hall, the University and zoo. As others have commented the Soviet aura clings to it in the attitudes of the staff. Fortunately for me there was a red headed (aftermarket color) young... More

As a hungarian I would like to help to choose a good hotel in Hungary, and avoid those which are not so good,... This one is quite okay -the rooms are clean, the price acceptable ( 10-16 000 HUF)... And there is a little pool with warm water and you can use a sauna. The food is really bad, but... More
