We enjoyed our stay at the Fonix Hotel in Pecs Hungary. We had the room with Air Conditioning - it was nice. The deck was nice too. Very nice workers and very accommodating as well. Great location too. My Father will be going back in August for another stay.

The location really makes this hotel worth it. It's right by the big town square with its festivals and several great restaurants. The bathroom is small, but it works just fine. The breakfast is okay, but the staff will gladly make you something in the kitchen. It's bit noisy outside.

Location is always king. By this merit, the hotel should be judged really high - as everything worth strolling for in the beautiful city of Pecs is within reach. The sight welcomes with an eclectic staircase. But rooms themselves are a far cry from splendid, and the restaurant at the foot of the hotel proved unworthy.

We had the double room (Room #1), upon arrival the bathroom was not cleaned, the day after it was solved at the morning cleaning. The bed was a bit inconsequent, two matresses for a double bed are okay, but the wooden divider between them are NOT. Watch out for the space between! Room was equipped only with a TV and...

Friendly and very good value for money An old building with lots of steps very close to the main square. The rooms were small but well provided with storage space. Breakfasts were simple: fruit juice, cereals, omelettes, bread rolls coffee tea etc. Most of us were taking part in The World Masters Orienteering Championships and the hotel was really helpful...

The hotel is old, in need of renovation. it does have the basic amenities, yet the two star rating based solely on the fact that there is a tv set and a phone in the room. I found the level of privacy completely unsatisfactory - no soundproofing, narrow corridors in addition to the very small rooms amounted to a sleepless...

My sister and I loved this place. It was very clean, relaxed, friendly service. Breakfast is made hot to order just for you. It is a basic hotel but do to the location and cost, it was perfect

I found this place excellent in every way. It has an extremely central location, the staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms are super-clean, and then price includes a good breakfast. Lonely Planet seems upset about the odd angles in the rooms, but I think that just adds to the charm of it. This is a fairly no-frills place...

I found very convenient because it is cheap and located in the city centre. I had a confortable stay, moreover I've stayed in a double room at the same price of a single room. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was ok, the only problem was that the curtain did not cover all the window, so the sun...
