I spent two nights here and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. First, the hotel is situated in the Old City, which was very convenient. The hotel provided everything needed for a great stay. The staff was very helpful with information, and my room was comfortable. Breakfast is included in the room rate, and they offered a nice selection. It was the...

You are basically in the Old Town of the city. Everthing you want to see and do, just some steps away. However - avoid room nr 16. It has a funny separeted bath room - you need to use 5 steps to go in. The other problem is the noise. The windows are looking to a garden-restaurant, the whole night...

Very nice, newly renovated little hotel in the walking zone of Bratislava. Very friendly staff, free and good wi-fi, nice and newly furbished rooms. You cannot park your car closer than 300m, if your car is higher than 2m plan your parking in advance. Contrary to what is written on internet booking site, they have breakfast in hotel, but it...

Had a great and relaxing stay here right at the entrance of the old town in Bratislava. The hotel is about one minute from the busy and party-like atmosphere (at night) of the main streets here, and yet feels a world a way. Located on a quiet, narrow, side street, you are in the heart of the action and yet...

What a great hotel in Old town Bratislava.....very 'old world' looking on the outside but very modern on the inside in fact I was a bit leery at first because it seemed to be just a dark alley. The staff are accommodating and friendly' Breakfast (which was included in the price) consisted of both hot and cold was top notch....

I booked this hotel going mainly on the location as I had just two nights in Bratislava. I had a taxi pre-booked from the airport and as the hotel is in a pedestrianised part of the old town I was dropped off a couple of hundred yards away. Entrance is in a narrow cobbled street just to the right through...

We love the location of Michalska Brana. Everything is within walking distance. We had a great time walking around, dining and drinking. Our room was clean, good wifi, an ok breakfast. Parking is available but for a fee and it is a hike for the poor wheels on your suitcase.

I was not sure how to rate the hotel because for location and room size it deserves 5 stars, but we did not find the staff particularly friendly or helpful at all. First morning had to wait ten minutes for hot water to make some tea. What was left of cooked breakfast at 9.30 did not look very appetising. Breakfast...

Hotel is super centrally located however that does come with a small price of some inconvenience of noise from the courtyard at Primi which the rear of the hotel directly overlooks. Having said that the hotel has serious double glazing in place so that this is reduced as best as possible. Superbly located for old town. You cannot drive near...

This little hotel had charming, modern rooms which were comfortable and pretty. The location is great, on a cobbled side street about a 1/3 of a block from the clock tower where there are great restaurants, cafes and shops. The hotel had breakfast and wifi. I would definitely stay here again. I really loved it!!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
APLEND CITY Hotel Michalska is located in a very quiet street of the pedestrian zone of the Old Town, Bastova Street 4. Bastova Street is considered to be the narrowest and most romantic street of Bratislava. Street itself tells many stories. It was built in 13th and 14th century and in medieval age and for centuries it used to be famous for being a home of the city hangman. His house was demolished and replaced with a new baroque building in the middle of 18th century right facing the property of our hotel. Hotel Michalska is neighboring to majority of embassies and also therefore our location is very safe. All sights on hand - we are only a 1 minute walk to nearby Saint Michael’s Gate, cafe and entertainment Michalska Street or medieval Kapucinska Street, just about a 5 minute walk to the Opera or Presidential Palace. The nearby Bratislava Castle you can reach in 20 minute walk, which is a time you need to get to Danube River too. ... more   less
