Stayed here two nights on a bit of business in April 2006.

The hotel is basically out in the woods, about a 30 minute bus ride to the centre of Tallinn. A taxi would probably cost you about £7/€10. Don't try to walk it.

It is near woods, no amenities close by.

Rooms could do with a bit of updating decor-wise, but clean and tidy.

The hotel has character and breakfast and dinner are served in a nice setting. Staff were friendly and attentive.

Gueses can also use the sauna and small pool.

I don't know if I would stay here again - the location is off-putting, whereaas the hotel itself is fine.

Everything starting from the staff up to the swimming-pool is old and unprofessional. Spend your money wisely elsewhere.

The rooms were clean and the hotel was beautiful.
Unfortunately the customer services was probably one the worst I've ever had! The staff was pretty rude.
The hotel is very far from the old town, so if you don't have a car this isn't the best option. And I wouldn't really recommend it to anyone anyway.

We could not be more pleased. About 20 mins out of town in the forest, but cheap enough by taxi. Not plastic like city hotels - the staff are friendly, the food was absolutly wonderful (Russian). We had a suite, definitely worth the extra and still cheaper than the tourist hotels. This is more for the traveller "in the Know"!

Oh, where on earth do I start! We booked this hotel through a well known online hotel provider, and it had ok ratings. We were going to see Robbie Williams in concert, and to my own detriment, I'd left it late to book hotels, so we were left with either this one or a Hostel... I'm thinking the hostel may have been nicer!

As soon as I walked into the reception, I started itching it was filthy. I looked at my husband, sister and brother-in-law in total dismay, I actually said 'is this really the hotel i booked'!

We approached the reception, where a lady greeted us with no conversation, no friendly 'hello' just a set face, our keys were practically thrown at us, and she swivvled her chair around, not even directing us to where our rooms were.

We enetered our rooms, to a strong smell of fust and damp, then you saw the room. Dirty, broken and very warn furnature. All the chairs had disgusting stains on them, and the carpets looked like they hadn't been hoovered since the day it opened.

We had twin beds, whcih resembled hammocks, the matresses were only about an inch thick. The sheets on my husbands bed had blood on them, and red velor curtains had strange white stains on them.

The bathroom was disgusting, and I had to go purchase cleaning products from the supermarket next door, to clean it myself.

Our room was next to the fire escape, and on each morning the maids would sit on the fire escape smoking and chatting loudly, which woke us up each day, and made our room stink of smoke!!!

We had paid a considerable amount of money to stay here, much more than the hotel was worth! Breakfast was included in our package, needless to say we didn't eat here, we ventured down to the breakfast room and walked out again, there was a rug in there which had clearley never been cleaned, and the tables were grubby!

To my sisters room, their bathroom was constantly flooding due to water coming through the light fitting from the above room! this was so dangerous, and either of them could have been seriously injured! When we presented the video to the receptionist to report this, she simply shrugged her shoulders and said 'Oh'.

We had asked the night porters if we were able to telephone to have a Pizza delivered to the hotel, they advised this was ok, however when we rang, the takeaway advised 'they did not speak English', so we asked the night porter if he would order for us, using our personal phone, and he swiftly responded 'NO IM BUSY, NOW GO AWAY' for him to turn around in his chair and stare at the wall!

When we arrived home I complained to said company who we booked through, and in all fairness to them they took my complaint very seriously, especially with the photographic evidence and video evidence I had provided to them, and approached the Manager of the Ecoland Hotel & Spa on our behlaf... Her response, as expected was as rude as her staff were to us on our stay.

Apparently the water coming through the light fitting was down to a guest who had moved out of the above room, and had left a tap running! How come the maids didn't see that when they wnet in to clean the room after the guest had left (and I use claen the room loosley)... Was the tap turned on full for 2.5 Days without anyone noticing, as the water was constant!

message to the Hotel Manager, please get your facts straight before responding!

Needless to say I would never stay here again. If you are unlucky enough to stay here, ensure you have your cleaning products at the ready! And don't expect any customer service!

You have been warned

When checking in, no information about Spa services, pool, breakfast, preooked dinner, was given. You had to ask about all those things yourself and even then the receptionist rolled her eyes as if we were a bother. Very soft and uncomfortable bed. We looked up the pool and steam sauna and OMG, terribly dirty - would never go in or use these facilities. Had a water leakage issue in the bathroom (the bathroom was full with water), called reception to report it and was said, yes, we´ll come soon. Had to call the second time as the water was already coming to the room area. Finally someone came and we were moved to another room. We had a booking for 2 nights, but this was enough and we cancelled the second night (prebooked treatments). When going to reception to inform about cancellation of treatment, the answer from receptionist was and I quote: 3 o´clock. Repeted myself and said I want to canel he said: To your right and straight - no knowledge or understanding of language, the estonian language. When we cancelled the entire booking online, not more than 7 min later, there was an employee at our door and stated, that we have to pack immediately and leave. Do not recommend to anyone! Very disappointed!

This 'spahotel' was the worst hotel I've ever been and I will never go back. I had bought a cheap hotel night in this spa from Groupon (45e/night). But now afterwards, I wouldn't go there even if it was for free. The hotel was in really bad condition and most of the rooms were under renovation. Our room was really dirty and the smell was disgusting. Everyone of us got bad allergic reactions after 10 minutes of staying in our room. We visited also the 'spa'. Sauna was cold and we heard that it wasn't even included in price and the water in small pool was so cold that I couldn't even put my feet in there. There was tiny 'steamsauna' but the smell in there was disgusting. So after this horrible 'spa' experience we left so quickly we could. And we'll never go back there. I still feel sick from that place.

Dear readers,

I've visited many hotels and places, but this hotel is by far one of the worst hotels I've ever seen.

My stay was booked for me by an organization of a meeting in Tallinn, and the hotel is supposedly very popular among the locals in Tallinn, as i supposedly offers a nice sauna. I did not check this out.

But for me, and I presume for other travelers, this hotel was the worst.

The hotel itself reeked of old smoke and dirt, and the room was extremely unpleasant. The bed was covered with long and short curly dark hairs, the linings was obviously slept in already, and the bed frame was about to fall apart. The nightstand had some disgusting spots on it. The floor in the room was uneven, and you could clearly see damages from moist and dirt on the connections between the floors and walls.

I arrived late at night and considered to stay there for one night and then switch hotel the day after, but I could not manage to even lay down on that bed. I took my bag and fled.Luckily the guy in the reception was able to book me a taxi, but he did not make any attempt to make my stay pleasant in any way. And the wifi did not work.

If you want to stay in a hotel in Tallin, this is not the one. Its far away, has nothing special to offer and the price is high, considering what you can get much more central. And oh, its DISGUSTING!

We returned from the hotel yesterday and unfortunately there isn`t almost nothing positive to say about our short vacation. Service was very poor; staff smoking, chatting and even laying on a couch in client zone. Room and the whole house in desperate need of renovation.
The whole ecperience was like going back in time around 15 - 20 years.
Only the service in spa (massage, salt chamber) was polite.
Would not recommend to anyone.

Stayed one night. We visited spa. It was really good and relaxing!
The staff are speak mainly Russians but they speak fluently estonian and english. :) The menu was as well in finnish.
They staff is very friendly and helpful. The interior was fancy. I loved it. The restoran look very expensive, but we got minus 20% and we payd only 26 euros for dinner. (an appetizer, 2 main dishes, 2 kitchens, 2 way, 1 beer). The portion were large. Food were divine.
Breakfast was good aswell. The pool was Ok!
Like to go back!
I recommend!
