Very good quality for money, helpful staff, excellent breakfast. There was even a welcome letter addressed to me personally in the room upon arrival, we thought it was a nice touch. Best location in Tallinn, easy.

Firstly, it doesn't look as nice as it is presented in the pictures on booking sites. But it still is ok. Rooms are cream nad the cleaning service was good. Secondly, breakfast is terrible. Just one kind of cheap cheese, one kind of cheap ham etc.The hotel itself deserves 4 stars but I'm giving 3 because of breakfast.

If you only have a couple of days in Tallinn and want a reasonably priced central location from where you can explore everything within (and including) the city walls, look no further. This is the ideal starting point, adjacent to the main square; everything is within a few minutes walk from here (stout footwear required) including nice places to eat....

The location is perfect; the breakfast is made-to-order delicious; the staff could not be more helpful; the room was wonderful. What else can I say? I would not hesitate to return to this fabulous property.

Stayed friday to Monday. Great little hotel with a fantastic location, just yards from the Christmas Market. All of old town just a few minutes walk. Room was small but good. We stayed in room 201 which was on the street facing 'The Beer House'. This could be noisy at night, it didnt bother us. Breakfast was good, with hot...

Dear lloydy110, Thank you for taking the time to write this review. We are very happy that you enjoyed your stay with us, despite the The Beer House sometimes being nosy on the weekend. If guests are bothered by this, we do try to move them to rooms that are not facing the street. We appreciate your kind words about...

The hotel is okay, maybe a little bit overpriced but it works. The problem here is that after a walk around in the city we return to our room and discovered that we was missing a paperback with some gifts in. We asked the staff about the cleaning staff might have mistook the bag to be waste. None, however, had...

Dear Claus P, Thank you for staying with us and for your feedback. I have received information about the lost item from your room and we have investigated further, it indeed seems as the housekeeper mistakenly took it out with the trash. We truly apologize for this. We take this matter very seriously and assure you that this is an...

Perfect cosy location for the Christmas market. The public rooms of the hotel are lovely but my bedroom was just beige and boring. Some colour and historical accessories were really needed. The room was so small there wasn't even space for a bedside table. Although there was a good choice at breakfast the cooked food was only lukewarm. The staff were...

This pretty hotel in the heart of the old town amazingly dates from the 14th Century. It is a stone's throw from the ancient market square surrounded by small shops and restaurants. Perfect location for the Christmas Market where beautiful hand made gifts are available. The hotel is on 3 stories with intriguing passageways and staircases. There are 14th Century...

Three of us stayed at the Merchant House Hotel for three nights to enjoy the first weekend of the Tallinn Christmas Market. The Hotel location was perfect for the Square where the market was held - a 1 minute walk. The hotel and its amenities were superb. Lovely spacious rooms facing the courtyard, fabulous bathrooms and we all had great...
