About
Description
Late Medieval architecture in one of the oldest houses in Tallinn together with first-class service and possibilities create a unique atmosphere which connects with the environment surrounding the hotel. More When renovating the house we respected both the initial architecture and the strict national heritage protection requirements that ensure that both the location and design of the hotel rooms is as loyal to the original concept of the house as possible. In 1997 Tallinn Old Town was included in the UNESCO World Heritage list and that can be regarded as the highest international acknowledgement to any historic town! In addition to a usual lodging experience we offer you an exclusive luxurious boutique-type experience, deriving from the unique design of the hotel building and its medieval legacy. Since all the rooms are unique and different from each other, the visitors may choose the intimacy or luxury of their preferred environment. Our breakfast is made of self-made or farm-grown fresh high-quality ingredients that are not so easily, if at all, found in shops. Natural and fresh breakfast is a unique experience that lights up the whole day! On the lower storey of Hotel Cru you will find a cosy and highly regarded restaurant of the same name. Hotel guests enjoy 10% off all items on the restaurant menu. Dmitri Haljukov, the head chef of the restaurant Cru, represented Estonia in the chef olympics final Bocuse d'Or in Lyon 2015. CRU Hotel is a good choice for both - leisure and business trips! Less

The location of Cru could not be more central, on pedestrian street and very close to main square. Staff are friendly, good breakfast , passed on the wine. Bedroom was small but OK , didn't have any storage for clothes, coat stand only.Had a fridge but no easy or coffee making f

This was a lovely, quirky place, more like a boutique Bed and Breakfast, than a traditional hotel which I mean as a good thing. Our initial room wasn't quite what we were expecting (it was quite dark and had a very sloping ceiling which made it difficult to sit up in bed). Howeve

A lovely little hotel in one of the main streets of Tallinn. The rooms are small but adequate and nicely done up. There isn't a lift but I had asked if there was someone to carry my large luggage up the stairs and they said there would be someone to assist. All went well and t

I'd really like to give this hotel more than a 3 because I loved the old building and the adventure of getting to our room. The finishes and furnishings are good, the bed comfortable and the room warm. The restaurant was also excellent although breakfast was a little bland (apart

Hi, We are looking for a hotel for Christmas. We are a family of 6. Do you have any rooms that will fit us and our 4 kids?
Dear Griffom, Thank you for your question and interest in CRU Hotel! We have two Double Deluxe rooms that have a connecting door. I find it the most suitable for your family. In both rooms there is a sofa bed for two people. All together two rooms can accommodate 8 people, so you can choose if in one room there are three people and in the other one three people. Or the children would be in one room and you can enjoy a separate room. In this case two Double Deluxe rooms should be booked and requested for the ones that have a connecting door. If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact us! Looking forward to welcome you in CRU! With warm regards, Maria

How many floors are there? Is there an elevator? How many stairs in each flight?
Dear Laurie G, Thank you for the question! Unfortunately as the building dates from the 14th century, then we do not have an elevator. All together there are 3 floors. The first stairs are longer - 21 treads. The other stairs are about 4-12 treads. It is not actually a classical staircase that we are talking about. The corridors end with small stairs. When you make the booking, we could book you the room that is not very far from our main entrance, but the first stairs have to be passed anyway. Hope to see you soon in CRU! Warm regards, CRU Hotel

"This is not a plush hotel, it is an old building with lots of history."
"We would definitely recommend the Junior Suite at a quiet time, but imagine it could be very noisy at the weekend in the high season."
"Request assistance if needed with the luggage beforehand as the stairs are steep."
"The rooms are smaller than they look on the pictures."
"Rooms away from the main street may be quieter at night"
