A very clean and functional hotel which fitted our agenda perfectly, very friendly staff and a very good breakfast, only a a quick taxi ride to the old town or a 20 walk, i'd definitely stay here again.
My friend and I stayed for 2 nights at the Dodo hotel in Riga in December and I cannot praise them enough.
It is a clean, no nonsense hotel which, although not posh, gets my vote because of the staff, especially Victor who was so...More

A basic hotel, but amazing value for money. 30 minutes walk from the old city, but taxis or trams are cheap. Other reviews are right about the thin walls, so how much sleep you get is a bit dependent on who else is staying. Staff...More

Hello!
You are right that Dodo Hotel is very near the old town, because we are centrally located. Also, you will see the cultural heritage area with nice tourist attractions in the 15-20 minute walk from old town. But of course, it is not so pleasant to walk by night than by day.
It is very simple to get to our hotel from airport. First, to get to the old town you can take a bus, taxi or airport shuttle bus. Then, from the old town easiest way is to take tram Nr.7 in direction "Dole" and get out in stop "Daugavpils". Our hotel is only 10m away from there. Tram goes up until midnight. Of course, you can also take a taxi and for less than 15,00 Euros you will be taken straight to our hotel in less than 15-20 minutes.

Dear Mark,
you definitely won't regret holding your stag night in Riga. Stag party guests are welcome in our hotel. These kind of groups make there party outside our hotel and only come back to sleep in Dodo Hotel. They don't disturb other guests usually, that's why we accept them.
Riga isn't very big, all nightlife awakens in the weekends in old town which is situated close to our hotel, where stag group guests can have fun. There are countless cafes, bars, pubs as well as casinos and night clubs which offer great value for money.
Please don't hesitate to contact us directly if you have any other questions.
Best regards,
Ervins
