One of those you really do not know how to give out stars. If you think what this place costs (I paid 33 euros/night for double with breakfast) it is really good, perhaps even great. But if you just generally think about it you can't hit the highest ranks. Location is ok, one block away from the Daugava river, so...

I have finished a 2 week stay in Latvia that was amazing from start to end. They are the most amazing helpful and kind people and are a credit to the hospitality industry. Receptionist organised all my trip before I left NZ and everywhere he booked for me was great and the tours were awesome. The hotel itself is clean...

I was very pleasantly surprised how cozy it was. Rooms were a bit dull, but very clean, there were toiletries and a blowdrier in the bathroom. Breakfast was good and served to my room. They asked very specifically what I would like to have. A very good experience.

When paying €25 a night in a European capital city, you don't expect too much! However, this hotel was clean, spacious and friendly. A decent night's sleep and good shower in the morning. Don't expect to be able to see the river though - you can't!

We stayed here as an alternative to staying in a hostel over the weekend as we wanted to avoid the numerous stag do's in the city and get a good nights sleep. From a value point of view it is good, the hotel has all you need in the room. The plastic under sheet was a bit off putting as...

Bad "hotel" location. The noise from the street by passing cars (hotel is near of one of busy street). The room has the stench of cigarette smoke. The bed designed special for Yogis... The mattress was hard like the Soviet Union train bunk. In the future I would not stay there again.

Spent two nights there...staff really nice. It's a 20 min walk to the farmers market, which is large and much more than produce, then another ten minutes walk to Old Town. TV have three channels and only BBC is in English...accommodations fine...shower good, linens ok. For the price it's a real deal...and they were not that full which is surprising...

Riverside Hotel is on the wrong side of the tracks, but the walk from the bus or train station starts through the interesting Central Market. You can take a trolleybus for one stop, but we didn't bother as it's easy enough on foot. The hotel is quite a decent place. The room was clean and comfortable. No tea-and-coffee-making facilities or...

We stayed at Riverside Hotel in Riga with our friends at the end of May. The rooms were clean, simple, quiet and the hotel had really friendly staff. The breakfast was quite good. Surrounding was ugly, but we traveled by car so the car park below windows was OK. To the old town was a 15 minute walk. Taxi to...
