We booked a room at the hotel because it looks very nice, old fashioned with a lot of style. On arrival we were told that a mistake had happened and that the hotel was overbooked, so we were given the keys to a small appartment in a neighbouring hotel. A modern claptrap place, where on the ca 15 square meter...

very good value for money due to a last minute booking negotiated directly over the phone with the hotel! better than on internet! the hotel is good especially on this very expensive area. for the service level it's fine.

We stayed in the family apartment, which is a half basement apartment with own terrace facing the street. Apartment is very spacious for 4 people. Terrace is not worth the ad. Very central location that allows easy access on foot or by rented bicycle to the area attractions and day trip activities. Breakfast in the main house was good; personnel...

We went out of season, and it was a perfectly reasonable hotel, decently located, with clean rooms and a good breakfast. Conveniently close to the new museum, and accessible to stroll up the coast. Everything was well maintained, and the owners were quite helpful on places to visit and eat.

We had a lovely, clean, Scandi style room in a very well kept hotel. The breakfast was really lovely, something to look forward to. The location is great for getting around but it not very scenic as the harbour is a still-working, industrial harbour that is rather ugly (this is not the fault of the hotel!) but there was still...

Nice cozy hotel within walking distance to the beach. Clean rooms, heated bathroom floors, comfortable beds and good breakfast. The service was also satisfactory. Would recommend for a weekend getaway.

I chose Hotel Sonderstrand because of its proximity to my meeting location the next morning. Also, previous reviews were really good and also the price for the room was super! I arrived late and the owner warmly welcomed me and showed me my really big room (little house) which was available for one night (basically an upgrade :-)). Everything was...

The owner managed my email confusion in a courteous, efficient and friendly manner and this was typical of the whole stay. Although weather was bad, we enjoyed our return to Skagen after many years and the stay was improved by the quiet and typically Danish relaxed but effective handling of guests! Be sure to visit not just Grenen, but also...

This is a cosy and nice small hotel in Skagen town at the extreme northern end of Denmark. It is a boutique type hotel, with small but very comfortable rooms. Our room had a nice balcony on the side of the town. The hotel is at walking distance from the town centre and good restaurants. Regretfully, the hotel does not...

Typical quaint Danish cottage with very friendly and helpful owner, high standard of cleanliness on a quiet street close to beaches. We stayed on the ground floor and had our own private patio. Event though we faced the street it was extremely quiet at night. Good breakfast that you could enjoy in the backyard. You can rent bikes there (extra...
