We spent a great long weekend at Bröndums 20 years ago, and decided to go back almost a year ago to see if it was just as nice as we remembered it. We got the last available room in the main building. It was small but very clean and tidy. The room didn't have any TV, which was a minus,... More

We have been warned about shared bathroom but one bathroom for 6 rooms? Bathroom looks like it has been made in 70's. Curtain from 1 euro shop in the shower so the whole bathroom is wet when taking a shower. Guys, seriously? The glass shower door costs like 100 eur, which is less than we paid for the accommodation. And... More

This is a quaint, lovely little hotel that is well run, well kept and very comfortable. The history is what drew me here, that it used to be a place for painters and writers to stay, and they've preserved that part very well. I look forward to going back one year.

First off, Skagen, Denmark is as quaint as they come. The entire town is so charming and accessible - it's like stepping back in time. The Brøndums Hotel is the perfect place for that type of experience. It was indeed as others have described, full of old world charm. We stayed in the main building which is the oldest part.... The hotel is nice, clean. Rooms are OK. Mine doesn't have a bathroom (shared bathroom for 6 rooms, that's available - peak season). For an average traveler it's extremely expensive (for this money I could easily get a 4* hotel room in many European big cities). These are the prices in Denmark, actually in Northern Europe. The price includes wifi,... More

We are 9 friends from Sweden,France and the UK who meet up annually to spend a few days together and this year we chose Brondums Hotel as our venue. Some of us have been here before and knew of its "old world charm" . We stayed in the Annexe which has the ensuite bathrooms and although 200 metres away from... More

I visited this historic restaurant with my son and my grand daughter on a busy Friday afternoon. The place was full - but the friendly waiter, Tommy, found a small table for us. What a treat - the best traditional Danish "lagkage" with whipped cream and berries - and real hot chocolate for my grand daughter - coffee for me... More

Spent 4 days here during midsummer. Skagen is beautiful this time of year, not so this hotel... We stayed here for 4 days and spent a fortune on accomodation compared to the actual standards of this hotel. 3 of the days we spent in one of the detached villas, where everything turned out to be rather run down and tired.... Travelling with our three month old daughter for a weekend break. I'll start by saying the hotel restaurant was fantastic, but there ends the good news. The room has a mattress that is 'leaking' on to the floor next to the bed, as though poured from a jar. Terrible sparse bathroom with lousy plumbing; a shower that drips water over... More

Beautiful old hotel, with lovely atmosphere and truely excellent food, although a little bit over the top in some areas! We elected to have a room in the annex as the main hotel doesnt have ensuite bathrooms. Lovely room could have come out of a danish film set altho the chair in the room had worn split upholstery. The beds....... More
