In such a beautiful place, just beside Tavira's Ria with wonderful surroundigs ( river, sea, beaches, the salinas and all natural fauna - sea birds such as herons, storks, flamingos and much more ), expectations are higher. Vila Galé is a chain of hotels known and recognized. The service and contitions were bellow, really bellow expected. The room was dirty...

A lovely spacious hotel with all the amenities you could ask for great outdoor area great gym and spa (yes you can get a kettle for the room just ask). Lovely little beach adjacent. Or take the ferry to the famous island with fabulous beaches and restaurants. You need a car or taxi to get into town but the vast...

The hotel is located in a nice, quiet location, outside the Tavira city centre, about 30 mins walk, but very close to the beach (short walking distance). The staff is very friendly, the food is nice and the hotel is clean.

First of all, this hotel is NOT in the centre of Tavira. You either walk for about half a hour to the centre or take a taxi. We had a car. The hotel has beautiful gardens, and interesting buildings like a school, church, etc, because of its history. The rooms are clean and basic, and they all have a seating...

We spent five days here half-board. Unlike many reviewers we checked-in and got our room immediately at 2.00pm. Reception staff were friendly and efficient throughout our stay. Our room (the basic one) was functional but clean, comfortable and quiet. A kettle would have been a nice addition, but otherwise we had no issues. Breakfasts were excellent. At dinner the starters...

Loved this hotel, the location, facilities, staff were excellent. shuttle service to main centre sister was great, making it easier to travel. Beautiful beach by 5 minute boat. Negatives were lack of iron in the rooms and we also felt that hotel of this calibre should provide kettle, with teas and coffee replenished daily, drinking water especially on first day...

We have had a fantastic week here, and would return. It has many good points but a few niggles which may upset some people. First the good, the setting is wonderful, peaceful and natural with good places to walk along the shore and track leading out of the resort. The place itself is based on an old fishing co-operative and...

We spent just one night here but wished we had stayed longer. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The price was reasonable and use of pool and other facilities was included. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the centre of town. Breakfast was decent enough and there was plenty of choice. Only 2 negatives - the breakfast orange...
