As a hostel this rates highly. We were warmly welcomed and shown our room and facilities. We had a spacious double room, with a balcony, and the bathroom and kitchen were just across the corridor (both very clean and well-equipped plus a the shower was powerful) - not bad for CHF 76 a night for two! The hostel has charm...

This hotel is situated in a very beautiful place. And the hotel room was very new and clean. Though we had bunker beds in the lowest fare room, it did not impair overall rating for the hotel. Linen was super clean and I liked the view very much. It was very easy access from the rail station and many more...

We stayed at Valley Hostel for 4 nights in October, and loved it. The location is ideal: close to the train station, bus stop and supermarket. And amazing view down the valley. We had a private double room, which was fabulous. The bathroom and kitchen facilities we clean and convenient. Good free wifi connection. Definitely recommend this place.

The cleanest hostel I have ever been to, no shoes allowed but cute slippers to wear instead. Big kitchen and common dining room. Big 8 bed dorms with lots of storage space too. Cheaper than the camping hostel down the road and in the middle of town too!

A great experience! The Valley Hostel is in a great location, very close to restaurants and other points of interest. There is a grocery store close by and a couple well-stocked kitchens at the Hostel for those on a budget. The staff are super friendly and helpful, they even taught us to make Swiss food in one of the kitchens!

Make your own bed. Strip your own bed. No towels. Slow Internet. Insufficient bathrooms. Broken bed frame. The staff is nice, but for 38sf per person, a little more service & quality is expected. I stayed here 14 years ago & it was one of the best hostels I had ever been at. Over the interim, They have traded quality...

Valley hostel was a fantastic place to stay! It was clean, close to the train station and offered a great value. We stayed in one of the private rooms with a nice balcony view. The shared bathrooms were clean and we never had to wait in line during our stay. The hostel had a great kitchen that we used often...

Too unlucky that I was asigned to a 8 bedded room with a group of sky divers. These sky divers put all their filthy, smelly clothes and gears on the floor and we were forced to breathe in this smelly environment for all these nights. They even occupied the public narrow path outside the kitchen to pack up their 'parachutes/large...

Lauterbrunnen is a lovely little place and I'd be happy to come here many times. The place is expensive of course, but it's much cheaper than a number of the hotels around. We got the private quad dorm (3 people but paid for an extra person) and it was very nice. The shared bathroom was downstairs though, so it means...

My husband and I stayed here for three nights at the beginning of September. We had a 6 bed dorm and found it to be one of the best hostels we stayed in, not only in Switzerland, but all of our other European travels. Sure, it's a mixed bag when you're in a room with a lot of other people...
