Nestled in lush mature gardens just off the main road, Beaufort House is an imposing Victorian villa. A welcome sign with our names on it hung beside the front door and Sharon welcomed us in. We were shown to our room, not the one we had booked, which was not quite ready, but we were told we could have the...

Reveiws are always appreciated .... and points considered, afraid we can not change the bathroom layout, the shower and other facilities recently upgraded ..being a historic 1878 property all space optimsed as best possible, when ensuites are required and the house only had one original bathroom! All rooms have their features, the Fyfe being a quieter corner aspect room, bathed...

My husband and I were welcomed into Noel and Sharon's charming and comfortable home and we had a wonderful stay. They are perfect hosts; attentive, professional, efficient and great company- I particularly enjoyed our 6pm aperitifs and canapés! Breakfast was very good, and generous. A wonderful find in an interesting and lovely town. Thank you Sharon and Noel 😊

We are spoilt - thank you for your kind comments and review! So pleased you enjoyed beautiful Akaroa!

Staying at Beaufort house made our visit memorable, Sharon and Noel's attention to detail is remarkable. That evening the wine flowed along with the conversation and we couldn't believe that it was then time for the short walk down to the restaurant for dinner. Ringing for a later booking was done without hesitation.

Top class experience - a special trip way. Enjoyed everything and especially the generous hospitality including the canapé's and elegant formal breakfast. All in a beautiful setting in the trees and so close to Akaroa.

One of the first locations we stayed in New Zealand as we began our tour of South Island. We wished we had more time as we only stayed one night. We cannot say enough about the hospitality provided by Sharon and Noel. They know how to make guests feel welcome. Fresh cut flowers in the room, wonderful linens, towels and...

Beaufort House would have to be the place to stay when visiting Akaroa for couples. Sharon and Noel really know how to make their guests feel welcome in their gorgeous B&B with their lovely bedrooms and evening drinks in the garden before you wander off down for dinner at one of the many restaurants in Akaroa. We spent two nights...

We do feel spoilt..thank you for your kind words! I do enjoy the furnishing of the house and a pleasure to share with guests who have an appreciation of those items not often seen with the minimalistic look in favour .... doesn't apply here! Were recommended to visit Akaroa to chill out after 6 fairly hectic weeks in NZ, and Beaufort House was the perfect base. Our room, with its lovely balcony was most comfortable, the breakfasts and evening drinks and nibbles a great way to meet other guests. Good walks nearby and only a short walk down to the harbour and some excellent...
