We spent a night in this beautiful B&B, recently decorated post-earthquake. The hosts were friendly and welcoming, providing excellent restaurant recommendations and a free glass of New Zealand wine for guests. The location is handy for the main area in town and you can sit on the veranda to relax. The room was bright and fresh, tastefully decorated, a comfy...

The house has a perfect location in Akaroa and the rooms are beautiful with a taste of the "old time" but with all modern amenities you need. The breakfast is also excellent and prepared by Greg who is an excellent cook. There is also a very nice lounge for the guests to relax before and after dinner which contributes to...

6 star accomodation and in the best location in Akaroa! Short walking distance to everything and hosted by Greg and Teresa who made our stay perfect! Greg has in depth local knowledge and is well respected by all businesses and tour operators. Amazing historical photographs throughout Oinako house and literally a 2 minute walk to the wharf where the adventures...

Stayed in this beautiful old colonial style house recently tucked away from the main road, and overlooking the port. Utterly charming. Comfortable rooms with balcony. Great breakfast. Genial host. What more do you want from a B&B

We stayed here one night on our trip around NZ and when i arrived, i was so sorry, it was only one night. What a beautiful B&B?! Oinako dates from late 1800s but was rebuilt after a fire and converted into a b&b after the previous owner and his 19 children didn't need so much room!! It is a lovely,...

What a delight to find Greg and Teresa's marvelous B&B, and be lucky enough to spend two nights with them. They are talented and gracious hosts, and they make every guest feel as if he is at home. We had chosen a beautiful room overlooking the harbor, with access to a verandah just off the bedroom. The ensuite bath features...

Very well located a short distance walk from restaurants and Akaroa amenities. Nice rooms, in a lovely old building and very pleasant hosts. Helpful about local information. Why not 5 stars from us ? Breakfasts were good, but there was no choice, rather a fixed menu each morning. Our room had only one bedside table and two steps up to...

This is a beautiful historic building with much history. It's extremely well maintained and the rooms which we were able to see are large and very well appointed. Excellent bathrooms with great showers. It appears there are three rooms on the front of the house all with great views over the harbour. There is a large and extensive balcony with...
