Lovely reasonably priced accommodation on the waterfront. Handy to town, walking distance to restaurants and cafes. Wonderfully cute village with amazing cottages and gardens,a delight to walk thru. Lots to do on the water......dolphins, sea birds, and boat trips. Very relaxing ,or energetic, whatever you choose. !!

We loved our time at Akaroa Waterfront Motels. The staff were really lovely, the rooms nicely decorated and well laid out and the location couldn't be better! The motel is right on the waters edge only a 2 min walk to the supermarket, shops and restaurants. We had a lovely 2 nights there but wished we had longer! The town...

Firstly - Akaroa is a must !!! A splendid location to enjoy two whole days and nights ( at least ). The town itself so peaceful, the whole touristic drive up on the mountains and the East side hats - fantastic ! The harbour itself....what can I say... And the motel..... Situated on ( literally on !) the shore... What...

We stayed for one night. Basic motel room, very clean and a nice decor. Very handy to restaurants, beach walks and shopping. A lovely view over the water. We will go there again soon. Alarms is a must destination.

Basic motel accommodation right on waterfront. All amenities good and working. Needs a little TLC to capitalise on position. Payment required in advance? As for Akaroa its a very special place. With its French heritage quant streets nestled on a quite bay surrounded by hills it offers peace and harmony or adventurous walks. Don't be fooled by the drive in...

The Motel is improving on a daily basis and watch this space, as it will keep getting better! My work mate and I stayed at Akaroa Water Front Motels for just one night, would love to have stayed longer. The unit was clean and fresh and the beds were to die for. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was an outdoor Pool table, Giant Chess Set and heaps of fun sports gear made available to guests....

We stayed in one of the 3 bedroom units for one night - 3 adults and 2 x children. The room was well appointed and spacious, with a great view of the harbor from the dining room window. It would be great if they made the main window floor to ceiling to make the most of the amazing view! The...

Thank you for your nice comments. The 2 bedroom units and 3 bedroom units are well suitable for families, and as you mentioned there is no main road nearby and nice area for kids to play safely. We are happy to see you like the view out from the 3 bedroom unit and we keep in mind the suggestion regarding...

8 of us visited Akaroa for the night. We had 2 studio units and one 2 bedroom unit. No complaints from anyone. Very comfortable beds and rooms with space to spare. Weather was a miserable Saturday but Sunday dawned clear and sunny. Several of us had crepes for breakfast from the cute little crepe caravan.

Thank you for your review. We are happy you enjoyed your stay with us, and you like the comfortable beds, we have been updating several of them since we took over. As the Sunday morning crepes treat, it is a bit of France we like to share and it might even become a daily one over the summer season. So...

Really can't fault the location of this motel - we stayed in a ground floor apartment and had incredible views of the water which is less than a stone's throw away. The apartment was, I felt, very small and compact. It had one bedroom containing a queen bed and in the lounge/kitchen/dining area was another queen bed. I think the...

This the second tome we have stayed at this motel, the first being some 10years or so ago. It was exactly as we remembered it. magnificent views, wasters edge, close to centre and very peaceful.
