Highly recommend hostel. Good value for money. Staff are very friendly. Fantastic free breakfast, free bike rental. Comfy beds. Ideal location for ferry. Best hostel within our 5 months backpacking trip.

This is a really nice backpackers. we had a double room with ensuite, and while it was small, it's well thought out and very comfortable. The balcony is a great spot to watch all the comings and goings at the port. the hosts are very welcoming. The common areas are very nice and well equipped. Definitely recommend!

Great location, great rooms and Gary & Nikki were fabulous. It's a short walk to the harbour for Sounds tours & shops/ restaurants and then right next to the ferry to Wellington entrance. Rooms spotless & very modern (as were the bathrooms). Nice communal areas & even though agoda messed up one night of our stay Gary went out of...

Great place to stay in Picton! We stayed here for two nights as got in late on the first day and used it as a place to explore the sounds and Blenheim! The scones for breakfast are a must and blooming yummy!! The hosts are friendly and give great advice on what to do in the surrounding area. If its...

One of the best hostels we stayed at in New Zealand. Very friendly owners, really nice room, has a games room with pool table, table tennis and darts board. Just a shame we had to leave just before breakfast for the cheese scones. Perfect for the ferry as it's literally next to the terminal!! Picton is a really nice place...

We have stayed in many backpacker hostels in many countries, and Tombstone is our best yet. Spotlessly clean throughout, free bikes to use which we made use of to explore the area, free spa tub, free breakfast of amazing homemade scones/toast/preserves/cream. Free pool table/wifi/table tennis. But leaving aside all the freebies it is a comfortable and cosy place with various...

Stayed in a private room which was perfect with comfy bed and made good use of space with shower. Access to shared balcony. Very clean and warm. Owners very nice and their dog is super cute. Internet was a bit rubbish. Kitchen and living space really big and well kitted out.

I stayed here for a night in January while waiting to get the ferry to Wellington the following day. I was initially surprised to stumble upon a cemetery so I wasn't sure quite what to expect, but booking.com gave me some reassurance and said that this establishment was "superb". When I arrived, I was greeted by a friendly member of...

Fast and unlimited wifi, great free breakfast and kind workers made me happy. Also soooo clean! But in night, I killed a hundred of insects. I understood this backpacker was strongly eco-friendly place. Except for it, I absolutely liked.

Standard Nz backpacker dorm price, so much more inside though. If the comfy lounge, free bike rental, and hot tub weren't enough, owner cooks fresh cheese scones every morning (to enjoy for free). Great stay, within walking distance of ferry terminal. Very happy. Would definitely go back
