I recently spent a night at the Picton House B & B - the owner Rosemary very kindly upgraded me to a room with private facilities, which was greatly appreciated as I arrived hot and flustered after a trudge from the ferry terminal with a heavy bag! This place is located very close to the main shopping area of Picton,...

With a new name change to 'Picton House Bed and Breakfast', this proved to be a wonderful place to bed down for the night on our way back to Wellington......It was wonderful to be able to mingle with other guests in the dining room instead of having Breakfast bought to your room in cereal boxes. Fruit juices, cereals, condiments, freshly...

Well located in centre of Picton, lovely B and B. The twin room was spacious, almost divided into 2 rooms. Had sink in the room and separate toilet and shower very close to room, bathrobes provided. Very clean and comfortable, and walkable from ferry from North Island. Breakfast of cereals, fruit, yoghurt, juice and toast. Small pool at front. Very...

A great place for a small group to stay. Rosemary was very accommodating to our needs and activities, even our 'fishandchip' dinner. As we were the only guests we were able to make the place our 'home' and have a very social time. Rooms were very clean and very adequate for our needs, A great location, within walking distance of...

Good location, easy walking to town, owners very friendly and accommodating. Motor bike friendly (they locked our bikes in the shed), provided ice for our drinks!! Also put on an early breakfast as we had an early ferry. We would stay here again

We enjoyed our stay in this accomodation, the room was a good size with King size bed and ensuite. The only down side of the ensuite was that the basin was a bit small. Rosemary was an excellent hostess and catered for our needs, in particular a gluten free breakfast for myself. Rosemary prepared breakfast early for us on the...

We booked this well in advance and even phoned ahead to discuss preferences eg Q size bed, ensuite. Despite this, the room we were given was quite small and the bed was really only a double (perhaps NZ measures differently? ) The street light outside was intrusive as the curtains were not blockout and the movement from rooms upstairs above...

Our stay over in Picton was just to short the only complaint we had. The Hotel met our every requirement and Picton is a gret spot for total relaxation walking, water sport or boat tripping. There are numerous and very reasonable resteraunts, pubs serving good food and fast food. We like many others just stopped over for the one night...

Negatives: We chose this accomodation because the description (in the NZ B&B Book) led us to believe that as a house built in 1925 for a doctor, it would have history - the outside was as expected, the inside had little or no history more than ten years old! Led through a breeze block hallway with rooms off was off...

We stayed both before and after our Queen Charlotte tramp. The stay on both occasions was extremely good. The bathroom wasn't huge but the rooms and whole B&B is very clean and well maintained. We could not have asked for any more - help with getting our washing up together, keeping our luggage while on the tramp and on our...
