Stopped here for two nights, two adults and our 15 year old, the room was really quite small, not much to move around, the rooms are just recently refurbished so the room was nice, but too small. The restaurant was only opened during the night, which was a shame, had swimming pool which said it was heated, but found it...

We needed a last minute room for only 1 night and we managed to get there 2 bedroom apartment which was perfect for our family of 4. Very clean and tidy and quiet. Looks more expensive from the outside but prices don't reflect that which is great. Thanks

This inn is a block from the waterfront, and my room (91) had a wonderful view of the waterfront. Proximity to some of the great restaurants downtown (see my review of Le Cafe...) make this a choice location. Didn't eat at their restaurant, so no review. Staff was very helpful on everything and will stay there again when I bring...

Stayed one night on a 14-day tour of NZ. Location, the town, the hotel and the food were fantastic. Bar had reasonable prices. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. The Whalers Restaurant & Bar was decorated for Christmas and the Holidays; decorations go up late Oct. and stay until the end of Jan., I was told--if you are there during that...

Efficient reception. Clean & well furnished rooms. Good location. Ground floor rooms arranged around a shaded seating area with attached garden. Would recommend both for a one night stop before catching a ferry, or for a longer stay.

I would have scored this higher if the staff had been more pleasant when i had isuues with the wifi, they acted as if i was an idiot. I have logged into wifi all over the south island so i had some idea, but they were not particularly pleasant to deal with and were no help. I had to figure...

This is a very nice motel, clean and friendly. Picton is a great place to stay and this motel is central with lovely views over the water. Staff are very welcoming and friendly. A nice bar and the restaurant serves good food.

Stayed here for 2 nights on a tour around South Island. Bedrooms are very well equipped and food at night and in the morning was always very good. Hotel is near the sea front and very handy to catch the Cougar Lines water taxi to take you over to the wonderful walking on the Queen Charlotte Track.
