Carl picked me up at the Picton Ferry and drove the short distance to the B&B. Jeanne greeted me warmly and both showed me the Palm Room with its fabulous en-suite bathroom and veranda jacuzzi tub. McCormick House is a 15-20 minute easy walk along a nature trail to the town proper. My quiet, peaceful night's rest was enhanced with...

We stayed at McCormick House for four nights, two before and two after walking the Queen Charlotte Track. The house is located in suburbia, but inside it is a real treat. The attention to detail in this bed and breakfast is first class. I would say that this is, without doubt, one of the cleanest properties we have ever stayed...

When we first arrived to Picton, we were a little confused by the neighborhood as our first stop on our honeymoon. However, when we arrived at the doorstep of Mccormick we were put at ease as we were greeted by Jeanne. The next three days were perfection. Carl's vast knowledge of all things New Zealand (from the local honey, peanut...

It is refreshing to receive such special feedback about what we do in our special part of New Zealand. Much of hosting guests, for us, is like having good friends stay and it becomes not a job, but a way of life.

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely house. The accommodation is immaculate, attractive, and definitely 'luxurious'. Just a couple of rooms in what feels like a private home, but comfortably so. Quiet and restful; beautiful garden. Lovely lounge and breakfast room. Great breakfasts! And to cap it all, Jeanne and Carl, the hosts, are welcoming, helpful and delightful to...

We spent 2 nights here during our tour of New Zealand, it is a truly wonderful place to stay, we enjoyed two lovely breakfasts in the beautiful guest lounge. Great to be able to have this room to use in the evenings as well, with a lovely open fire. Very welcoming hosts who are pleased to pass on information of...

We spent 3 nights at McCormick House in the Captain's room with a roll top bath in our bedroom. The room is beautifully decorated, super clean and comfortable AND I can recommend the wonderful bath with a glass of wine and candles lit after a day tramping on the Queen Charlotte Track! Jeanne and Carl are lovely hosts, we joined...

We stayed one night in the palm room; spacious with plenty of light, huge shower and a jacuzzi overlooking the garden ! Breakfast was amazing, with everything you could wish for even marmite, the best peanut butter in the world an many honey to choose from. The hosts are the easiest, knowledgeable ones making their home a must stay to...

We were delighted with our choice of this lovely B&B. The hosts were warm and welcoming, and their home was beautiful. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was big and modern. Our hosts gave us an excellent dinner recommendation, so be sure to ask!

We loved our room with the bathtub. Jeanne and Carl were gracious hosts with a wealth of information about Picton (what a beautiful place) and the surrounding area. Wish we would have had more time to spend in the area and with them

Picton is the South Island terminus of the Wellington Interislander ferry. Most passengers immediately move on without sampling the delights of this small but very scenic town. We spent a couple of wonderful days at McCormick House a fine, old (by NZ standards at least) house owned by very friendly hosts, Jeanne and Carl. With good reason, both are keen...
