There isn't much Picton can offer for visitors during Spring. However, we love this little motel which is at a very good location. Parking is provided within the compound so you do not have to search for free parking. The elderly lady at the reception was so lovely. She showed us to the room, gave us suggestions on how to...

In the heart of Picton! Loved my stay here. The people were so lovely. I would definately stay here again! Room was nice, could do with a fresh coat of paint though, apart from that, everything was in our room and there were no complaints :) Thankyou!

Stayed one night while waiting for the next ferry sailing. Accommodation was fine and everything worked. Only issue was that Gateway doesn't accept Amex. Would happily stay again, especially if it becomes easier to pay my bill.

Very tidy unit, nice and quiet even though in centre of town. Very friendly staff and good parking. Highly recommended. Great eating facilities on your doorstep. Stayed overnight in this unit before catching the Ferry to Wellington. Would definitely stay here again if ever in Picton as it is so convenient to everything.

I had booked into this hotel as my stopover on the way to Dunedin. I noted in my booking that my ETA would be 6pm, however a mechanical issue with our ferry caused that time to be pushed out by over 5 hours. I decided to call ahead and warn of the delay. I was told that the manager would...

This motel, was right in the Main Street of town and five minutes from the ferry terminal and really convenient for catching the early morning ferry to Wellington. The lady who greeted us at reception, was so friendly, escorting us to our room and telling us about local dining options. The room was clean and cosy, basic, but with everything...

If you wanted a centrally located Motel to stay in Picton, this is the place to be. I was a bit hesitant that it may be a bit noisy, but Picton is such a quiet town there was no need to worry. Was greeted with warm southern charm and was shown a very warm and comfortable room - and nothing...

I was shown to my room and given the key. There was no ability to adjust the speed of the shower, just the water temperature. My shower was more like a water blasting experience. No shower gel/shampoo was provided. The bathroom was of an awkward design, like going down a passage with cubicles for basin, shower and toilet off the...

We are not animal friendly. This was explained to you upon check-in when you advised us about the animal your daughter had in her car. I showed you the "animal clause" and you understood and signed. We guarantee our guests that we will not have animals in our units as most people who have stayed in animal friendly units usually...
