My husband and I were touring North Island for the first time and Waiheke Island was the last stop on our journey. Hei Matau was an absolute treat! Stunning house with a breathtaking view. Fiona and Peter were fantastic hosts and they knew exactly what their guests needed. Peter- a wine connoisseur and Fiona - the executive chef! The rooms... More

From the minute the gates opened onto the panoramic view of the lodge and its setting we knew this was going to be a wonderful three day stay. Peter and Fiona have established a world class B & B. In our world travels this has not been surpassed. Facilities within the lodge and surrounding walks are excellent. Fiona's Gourmet Breakfast... More

We finished up our New Zealand vacation with a stay at this lodge. What a great end to our trip. The room we had was lovely- well kept and suppled with any and everything you could think of including wine and delicious brownies. Fiona and Peter were very helpful and gave us good restaurant and winery tips. I wish Fiona... More

Hei Matau Lodge was the highlight of our New Zealand family holiday. Peter and Fiona greeted us on arrival and gave us a tour of their stunning home and the included amenities. I wish we were back there, sitting on the deck with a glass of Pinot Noir looking out at the amazing views over Cable Bay towards Auckland. The... More

We had been to visit the Island before but had never seen such luxury on the Island before. The Lodge itself is beautiful, modern, warm and romantic all at once. You... More

We rented this magnificent home/lodge via WaihekeUnlimted.co.nz The agent met us at car ferry and escorted us to lodge where we met the owners. They introduced us to the property and left us to enjoy a plate of freshly shucked Waiheke Oysters, Cheese Board and a lovely bottle of wine. Property is very well presented and located.
